Hi! I just want to know, is there any way to turn off rain in game? When its no raining game goes pretty good, but when it starts to rain FPS goes below 10 and its imposible to play normaly, and only way is wait , when rain stops.
Don't think it's possible... personally I think the rain was well done, so I don't even want to turn it off. Then again I have no FPS problems, and I'm playing outmaxed.
Anyone else who noticed STALKER is one of the first games that correctly deals with rainfall? You actually stay 'dry' when something is only partially overhead and you're under it :D
The game does a wonderful job of providing a realistic environment, with great lighting and weather effects. I only wish the weapons were more accurate.
Yes! I noticed that too! The rain in Stalker is great. It was pouring out and storming, so I went into a little falling-apart garage type building to wait it out a bit, and I realised that it wasn't raining around me anymore, but there was water pouring through the holes in the ceiling!! I fell just a little bit more in love with the game.
P.S. I really don't have a problem with the gun accuracy. Do you guys use the iron sights? Do you know how to read iron sights? Because the ballistics model in the game really is accurate. Experiment with it a little, if you are far away and your shots on your crappy rifle keep hitting the ground in front of your target and to the left, just aim a little up and to the right. You'll hit.Â
If the game runs slow turn off the dynamic lighting. Set it to static lighting and it will run great. You lose that HDR effect of course but I would rather play the game in high detail and no lag with static lighting that lots of lag in low detail with dynamic lighting. The game still looks GREAT with static lighting.
