During Stalker I get a very strange problem where the sky is blurred and birds and the trees blur causing the sky to be unseen. I patched the game but the problem is still there. Anyway of fixing this?

Playing on a laptop with these specs:

Core Duo: 1.67 Ghz

Ram: 1GB

Graphics: Geforce Go 7400

The only way to fix it is not to play it in full screen mode. Also the game doesnt like certain gfx cards.

The go series can only run stalker in window mode to fix the sky problem.

I have the same problem with the game. I thought it was part of the amnesia effect or something (duh!!)
System:
Intel celeron 2.4 ghz
1gb ram
Geforce 6200 AGP
You all said that window mode will work.
I'll try that.

i have never had this problem.  you trying to run it on a laptop?  the game has glitches so try updating your forceware and if that doesn't work you are probably out of luck.

you must never rely on minimum requirements, as they just mean youll be able to install the game and play it at like 1fps. Recommended requirements are what you should look at. And with stalker they are as follows:

Dual core CPU: AMD 4200/ intel equivilant i.e. e6300

GPU: 512mb 7800gtx

RAM: 1.5gb

HD: 6GB or something

Sorry folks but just thinking "wow it can run on a 5 series" will not help you. STALKER supports DX8 and if you dont meet recommended thats what your running, and they poorly optimised the game for such low settings. Its not the game, its your PC.

Basically what is happening in the sky is that textures in your video ram are not being deleted by the game, thus leaving a lovely blur in the sky while textures start overlapping each other. Dont blame the game, its YOU! which is the problem... stupid fools trying to run good games with crappy systems... go buy a console!

First of all you need to stop disrespecting people because they haven't had the opportunity yet to build a great computer.Secondly optimization is key in video games.Lastly minimum requirements does NOT include trees blending together,it just means you'll run it very low which i do and i accept that and can play this game with a reasonable framerate. One more thing, don't contradict yourself."and they poorly optimised the game for such low settings""Dont blame the game, its YOU!"

SOLUTION:

You have to downgrade your drivers, to something like 81.95 or w/e. Smmething cloe to that.Theres no need to play the game in windowed mode or anything. Trust me I had the same problem, and this solution worked.
