Hello all,

Just wondering for those of you who have played STO recently if it is worth my measly $14.99 for at least the first month free sub? I've been reading and watching video reviews and it looks like they've improved the game drastically since launch a year ago. Is it fairly easy to learn and get into? I have to say it looks pretty fun. Thanks for any input.

I got it for that price, and I really only played for the month sub. I love trek to no end... but the game just didn't hold my attention.

I was thinking of this also its 9.99 at bestbuy here in Canada but it does look like the kind you just play for 1 month and get bored of it.

It won't be worth it until they take away the monthly charge like they did with Champions Online.

I pre ordered it, played about 3 months worth, and it was terrible, and im a hugh trek fan... I will only go back if they make it free to play.

No, I own every episode of Star Trek and all the movies and this game did not do it for me. It's a really slow and boring MMO. It's fun the first week or 2 than it just gets downright boring.

For me, the funnest part of the game was the character creator, it didnt hold my attention after that, dont they have free trials anymore?

Read this http://forums.startrekonline.com/showthread.php?t=207260 1st and 2nd post so you can see what are the upcoming short and long term development of STO is going to be like so you can judge by yourself if its worth your long term gaming schedule. The foundry just came out which gave players the ability to create their own content within a week there was a hundred new quests to do, granted no rewards yet There is also quote from one of the cryptic guys that a lifetime sale might be coming roughly the 2nd week of april but no promises made. Hope this helps
