Splash up well licensed name, shove in Darth Vader... easy profit.
Depressing for next 10 years it will be EA putting out starwars content.
Seems pointless to shove a pre-rendered trailer out at this point.
People just wanna see how the actual game looks.
No Clone Wars, no Space Battles, and only four planets. This isn't Battlefront, it's an insult.
More maps and space battles will probably come later in expansions or DLC. You do realize the difference in size and scope between the older Battlefronts and this one right? If they had to recreate all the same content, we would get this game in 2032.

Hey, this is EA. They're gonna milk that DLC teat until there's nothing left to pump.
No campaign, no bots, no space battles, no clone wars, no galactic conquest, and 4 whole planets out of the entire star wars universe to fight on.
NOT INTERESTED.
Like another said. This isn't battlefront. It's a fucking insult.
lol nooooooooooope.
i dont mind buying EA games, but i will never preorder an EA game again. their games are often very broken at release
I m sorry , but i wish i can like this title like you all do , Why i cant love the Movies or the games i don't know . but cheers i hope it turn out good for you guys :)

Is that all confirmed?
Hurry kids, go preorder today. All stores will likely run out of copies when released. LOL. . .
They won't run out of copies, but I can assure you this game will sell like hot cakes.
It kinda has me worried they're showing us a pre-rendered in game cinematic just 7 months before release. We haven't seen any real gameplay.
No Clone Wars, no Space Battles, and only four planets. This isn't Battlefront, it's an insult.
It will be DLC. along with the Christmas Holiday Special.
Starwars had some cracking games, Jedi Knight, Xwing/TieFighter, KOTOR 2. EA are don't see it as a game, it's a big dollar sign to see how far they can ride people while shouting "yee haw".

Well to be fair none of us have played it yet.
Yes, it might have a lot less content than the last Battlefront, and yes, knowing EA they will probably make lots of DLC for it... but it still might be a fun game.
I hope they will put some attention into the map design. I do want extremely big maps and none of the objectives being close together. Make transport vehicles actually useful.
@FelipeInside: All confirmed.

I'm going to lose all faith in humanity if people started to pre-order the game based on an engine trailer as opposed to a game play footage, never mind the fact that this game is in general a complete and utter downgrade from Battlefront II....

What's more depressing is we will never see any of the titles we wanted to see the way they were meant to be ever again (if even that). RIP Jedi Knight :(

TOTAL hypocrite lol! Im calling you out buddy. This coming from the same person giving everybody crap for buying GTA V PC talking about "PC gamers should have higher standards." Where are those standards now? GTA V doesnt have any paid DLC but you're perfectly ok with EA's cash grabbing tactics? "but it still might be a fun game" Wow....just, wow.
I for one won't be buying this. After the mess with BF4 I'm not going to trust Dice.

Huh?
I never said GTA5 wouldn't be a fun game, I just said I don't agree with Rockstar's Market Tactics. (btw, I won't be buying Battlefront so there goes your theory)
Maybe read my posts correctly before calling out names next time?
I have zero interest in this and anyone with half a brain should feel the same. For one it is EA who has destroyed numerous franchises over the last 5 years, their quality control is basically non-existent. They are pumping out alpha/betas as retail releases and charging people to test it. Secondly as other have pointed out it will be priced for $60, with <$20 worth of content and then sell the rest as DLC packs. Thirdly, it has no campaign, which further decreases the overall value. This will be a combination of Titanfall and Hardline in terms of marketing strategy - no campaign, piddly amount of content, handfull of maps, poorly optimized/tested, DLC out the ass (I guarantee there will be a metric shit-ton of pre-order DLC to hook the rubes) and a $60 price point. They will then spin this as an amazing deal to all the clueless Star Wars fanboys who will be more than happy to eat it up.
If you buy this at launch you are an idiot and are contributing to the decline of AAA gaming.

Hardline has a campaign.
@FelipeInside:
Reading comprehension FTW. Taking the worst from both - no campaign and piddly amount of content content from Titanfall + DLC, lack of mutiplayer content, and bullshots from Hardline. I guess I should have used Evolve, but my primary point is clear.

Ahh I get what you meant now.
Shame Battlefront doesn't have a campaign, it would of been pretty bad-ass I reckon if they did it right.
With the fact that EA has it's claws around SW for the next 10 years I would give a nearly 0% chance of any decently designed, non-cynically priced SW games coming out in the next 10 years.
Granted, I am biased as I am not a SW fan in general. I am a sci-fi fanboy and SW is bad sci-fi (there, I said it). But it is a shame about the likely track of SW game development with EA being in control.
This pretty much sums up my feelings so far for this game
On the ball.

That's because, strictly speaking, Star Wars isn't really sci-fi at all. It's the Hero's Journey set in space.
With that said, I agree with you on everything else. EA wrapping its tentacles around the franchise for the next 10 years doesn't exactly instill me with confidence. I don't see much good coming out of this union. Which is a shame because I am a Star Wars fan (and a sci-fi fan, too).
