Star Wars Empire at War Gold on sale for $5.

The new game on sale for the LucasArts weekly bit is Empire at War Gold edition. The pack includes the expansion Forces of Corruption as well. How is the game for anyone whose played it?

From reading the reviews it sounded pretty fun. I'm installing it right now. It'd have to be pretttty bad to not be worth $5.

EaW was pretty fun, but at noted above, the ground battles sucked. Spaces battles were where it was at.

It's a little over 2 gigs of a download.

It managed to make Star Wars boring.

Also note that Knights of the republic is 2.50 cents lol..Picked that up even though i own the boxed version..Ya Its not a bad game..Ground battles is what sunk this game when it came out..Space battles where pretty cool..Havent played this in years though its just collecting dust )...

Empire at War is great if you have delusions of grandeur and love star wars. The ground battles are terrible, but the space battles are amazing. I've heard that steam ran out of keys, though. So if you buy it, you'll have to wait a little bit to play it. Definitely worth 5 bucks. No question.

I didn't enjoy it as much as Galactic Battlegrounds but the space battles are pretty neat. Land battles, not so much.

Don't expect it to have the depth and balance of Starcraft or even one of the older Command & Conquer's. As it's one of those games that has a lot of neat ideas besides it being Star Wars; like its cool looking but unbalanced and messy space battles. And it's the same picture for its ground battles. Nonetheless, for $5 I say it's worth it just to see all of the Star Wars units for a few hours.

It's not at all the same kind of game as starcraft or c&c.
