Star Wars KotOR II Vista issue

Whenever I turn on KotOR II on Vista, this window pops uppops up:

"Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Program Files\LucasArts\SWKotOR2\swkotor2.exe

abnormal program termination"

I think there is a way to fix it in the swkotor2.exe file, but I don't know what it is. If anyone has had this issue or knows how to fix it, please post.

During my adventures with Vista, this happened numerous times. This includes talk about missing dll files. When I found the files to replace them. My Hard drive stopped detecting itself.

Compat mode, if pat mode doesn't work your either SOL or downgrade to XP

I just downloaded the patch for TSL and it worked fine with Vista. Just a few crashes here and there but otherwise ok.eastsidehucker

vista didn't like my copy of kotor 2 either. in fact, vista didn't like a lot of my games. so i switched back to xp for the time being.brianpoetzel

Please Remove disc from current CD/DVD drive and insert the original disc in another drive ?:.

I don't have another disc drive and it is the original disc.

You could try Virtual Drive, it might work then again it might not.

I assume It's out of warrenty because I got it day 1. And by the way, what is Virtual Drive?

I had this problem as well, i think you should ask on their forums. I did that and they told me to go to SecuROM site and that site tells you what to do, including emailing some file to them. Heres the site, http://www.securom.com/message.asp?m=analysis.

For some reason, my gamedisc was the 3rd CD. Try all of your CDs.
