I don't think FPS are that great on PC. I mean sure, I had a lot of fun with Call of Duty 2. But it's more fun iwht a controller. I say it doesn't really matter.monkeytoes61
This would be an opinion that I believe would be largely disputed by many members on this board... but that is my own opinion.
As long as Jim Ward is the head of Lucasarts we'll have to suffer this disrespect for PC. He doesn't seem to like adventure games and he doesn't seem to like the PC.
Give us KOTOR 3, Force Unleashed and Monkey Island 5 on the PC!
If you have been to their official forums you would know that they were now considering it for PC and we would know by 2008 sometime. Just read the huge LONG post about The Force Unleashed not for PC petition.
It has an official statement posted in their near the end and whats funny is their lame excuse was that they don't think todays computer hardware will run the new technologies DMM and Euphoria lololol. Take a look at crysis.
In response to the dude that said FPS aren't for PC. ARE YOU MAD? FPS started on the PC and is much easier to play and takes alot more skill. ALot of console games are dumbed down to include such things as auto aim and screen adjustment issues amongst other things plus news flash all consoles are specially designed computers to give out a desired FramesPerSecond constantly thats all thats special about them.

Make a mod for Crysis. I'd bet it would look better and have much better physics.foxhound_fox

PC is the platform for FPs because the keyboard and mouse can't be beat....
However Lucas Arts seems to have ditched the PC and on that note so has Bioware so not holding up much hope for their future game.

are u ill?
haha, easier said than done....copyright rights of lucas arts......the hard work to make a good enough mod....would be cool though...battling with those extreme force and lightsabers on the island :P hell yeah!DQ25
well i certainly hope it makes it to the pc, and if all they can think of is that pc's can't handle their engine, then a whole load of people at lucas should have a long talk with crytek and learn to do some freaking research.
but whatever, there are plenty of other games that ARE on the pc, i'm not crying over spilled 'the no star wars unleashed on the pc' milk.
screw em, i am SO NOT going to go buy a 360 just to play one game, and everyone that does is just ENCOURAGING companies to make their games console only.
i don't care too much. i've read some things about it that don't sound all too appealing. i'd rather have kotor 3, jedi knight 3, or x-wing/tie fighter 2.fireandcloud

well, there was dark forces, dark forces 2 and expansion, which had some lightsaber gameplay (though the lightsaber was impossible to use). so i consider jedi knight 1 to be jedi knight: outcast and jedi knight 2 to be jedi knight: academy. both outcast and academy were awesome (dark forces 1 was good as well), especially outcast. i heard some things that made me believe unleashed isn't quite in the mold of outcast and academy; i don't remember what, but it sounded very...'arcade' like to me. maybe i'm wrong about this though?

yeah, you were right. outcast was called jedi knight ii: outcast. but dark forces 2 (or jedi knight 1) wasn't in the same mold as outcast and academy, so i don't consider it part of the series. i agree that being darth vader's apprentice is cool, but only if darth vader is the darth vader of episodes 4, 5, and 6 (actually, darth vader in 6 was pretty weak). being the apprentice to anakin skywalker (of 1, 2, and 3), though, is not as appealing.

WTF? yeah enjoy your easy ass auto aim console fps, gimme a break. thats as crazy as saying fighting games arent that great with a controller.

Blasphemers, the both of you! All Jedi Knight games are Dark Forces games at the core, even if they don't have the name included. The main reason I would imagine they didn't include it is this.
Star Wars - Dark Forces 4 - Jedi Knight III: Jedi Academy
A little long, don't you think? Granted, I'm not sure JA is officially JK3 or just a standalone expansion, as it was never really confirmed either way.
Anyway, just because the series' gameplay has changed a bit throughout the years, doesn't mean the series itself is no longer whole. The main reason people don't acknowledge them all as also part of the Dark Forces series is because it was so long ago (and it didn't get as much acclaim as games like Doom), so many either don't know or don't care.

Are you sure? Pulling down Imperial Star Destroyers from the sky is a bit much, even for the Star Wars universe.
