Just got my key, and it is legit on battle.net registration. You make a battle.net profile account, add your game(s) to it, and then you can direct download the client whenever you want. Good to know if you've lost your starcraft key, have yet to play the original, or whatever.

I heard they are scanned off the boxes of games in Asia. Don't quote me though, because that's only what my source on the deal told me. I know it looks kinda sketchy, but it's $3 and I want a starcraft key so I figured what the heck, it accepts paypal so why not try. It's not from a cdkey generator which creates un-legit keys, and I wouldn't recommend a weird deal without trying it out firsthand to make sure it's not a scam.

Awesome deal. I'm tempted to buy another battlechest of starcraft and diablo 2 just so I can have an extra for lan parties.

How so? Because it's a reseller and not from the official site? Then EBgames/Gamestop should also be illegal. And these are not used cdkeys either, though I am not sure how they get the copies for so cheap.

All I can say is that my Starcraft key was never registered on battle.net, hence how I could add the game to my account. Can't say about D2, you may well be right. Either way, battlenet registering is fairly new, so I don't think that would be a problem.

The site says they "scan directly from the box", but does not specify whether it's new or not. I think the assumption is that they are new games. I believe this is a 1 day special, and these games are not normally so cheap as to be questionable.

If anyone purchases a game and runs into trouble you should post in this thread to help others decide whether to buy or not.

These stores are legal. They use keys from Asia and Eastern Europe, where games are traditionally cheaper. They buy the games in bulk, which makes them even cheaper.

It took me about 4 hours, but for others it's been under a half hour. So don't get worried if it takes a bit longer than expected.

After downloading the game from blizzard`s website, i have to install it but the key i have isnt even 26 characters long.

edit: nvm, they key is given to you by blizzard in your account :lol:

You don't have to trust these guys with your credit card information because the payment system is through paypal.

I thought the game would install after you download from battlenet. When i look for it on my pc, is asking me to install it and enter the key which is 26 characters long and when i enter my key it says its invalid, blah lame. Dante2710

You need to go to http://us.blizzard.com/store/?rhtml=y and sign in with your battle.net account (or make a new one if you don't already have one). Then add the game to your account with the key that G2Buy provided you. Once you add the game to your account, the key will be converted to a 26 character key so you can install the game.
