I just finish starcraft 2 on normal and feel it's a bit too short and too easy. I think I only lost a mission once. Most of the missions can be beaten under 20 mins.

I only played the first game a few times. I played in the beta for a few weeks. For veterans of the game I suggest you put it on at least hard if not the highest difficulty setting.

Overall I give the single player portion a 9.0. The online is obviously the best part and is worth a 10.

I look at the campaign as a training mission for the online component, because lets face it that is where the strengths of Starcraft lie.

So whilst it would be better if it was longer, single player is not what this game is about.

You didnt define us exactly how many hours youve spend. And its not our fault if a hardcore gamer play it like 20 hours straight and claim it short....

Yet quite a lot of people buy it for the sp campaign ;). Well TC you did give a warning for people that want a challenge, but you don't play it on normal and say it's too easy, you play it on normal because you want it to be easy.

I breezed through it on normal, but I kind of figured I would. (It did recommend that SC vets play on the hard setting, after all.) Try playing on brutal. It can be pretty sick in some missions, maybe most of them. I can't even imagine the last one on brutal. I'm sure it's thoroughly ridiculous.

I mostly just wanted to finish up the game before someone spoiled it for me. Also, I figured it would be easier to look for all the artifacts and such when I didn't have to worry about getting my ass handed to me every level.

The game gives the option to pick your difficulty level on each mission. It seems odd to complain about the lack of difficulty when it can be easily bumped up.

This thread will be locked. Just letting you know. It's like the 22nd Starcraft thread that was supposed to be in the sticky.

Umm this is like the first time I've said this. It does get annoying with the constant litter of SC2 threads on the board.

The sticky pretty much kills any worthwile discussion. I'd rather have three SC2 topics on the front page where people post and keep track of what they post than a bland, possibly spoilerish sticky.

So...when we get constant trash about console games that have nothing to do with the PC it's all kay, but when we get lots of threads about a PC exclusive that lots of people love...it's bad?

I don't agree....although SC MP has taken off, and SC2 MP will probably do too.... the single player campaign in SC1 was a VERY strong point. All the MP, South Korea things came later down the track...

Theres an achievement for the game; Beat the game on Normal difficulty in under 8 hours. I suppose its possible, but i dont know if its possible to get it on a casual first-time playthrough while exploring a bit. so you figure probably 9-10ish hours on a single playthrough if you beat every mission every time.

So let's recap .. - Horrible DRM - $60 price tag - Missing content (a.k.a. playable factions) - Purchased via "expansions" for $30-$40 per "expansion" - 8 hour campaign - Bugs'R'Us What a ripoff.

Yes.

Seriously it is, especially for those not particularly interested in SC2, and see a constant stream of SC2 threads.
