ill probably wait till september - october to grab it.. not worth preordering imo.. and initial release price is.. upsetting at best.
for a game we have waited this long for.. and which i remain sceptical about the SPbeing able to deliever, and whos mp im not particularly enthralled about, i cant wait.. so until then cheers ppl
Love the Beta. Can't wait for the campaign to come out. Easily game of the year by a million miles. Nothing else comes close.
That was just the date until you could redeem you're code. No one but Blizzard knows when the beta is overIf Amazon was right and the beta really ends on May 17th, it's going to be a long two months.

[QUOTE="Shadowhawk000"]Koreans will be on different servers to us.MrLionsThat still won't save you from the undercover American-Koreans!
I'll just for the sake of simplicity accept the premise that the non-pro level Koreans are somehow generally better than average American players before I point out that the game matches people against people with a similar rating anyway. Anyone who is not way near the bottom or way near the top of the ladder should win roughly 50% of their ranked ladder games. From what I can tell from playing the beta, there will be one Starcraft II account per CD key, so there shouldn't be much smurfing going on either. (It kind of sucks for any household where multiple people play the game on the same computer though I guess.)

Thats good to hear smurfing was rampant in SoSE hated them especially me being a novice level player
MW2 sells for $60 and there was a worldwide nerd riot. SC2 is priced the same, and not a peep from anyone. Interesting.attirexYou're not actually comparing gold with crap are you?....
No, you can't compare the two games (different genres, and, yes, MW2 is crap), but there were a lot of people claiming that $60 was too much for any PC game. Unless that game is SC2, apparently. :-)attirex
60$ is the norm for Blizzard games at launch.
IW always launched games at 50$ and made a direct console port of MW2 instead of PC's own version. There was a lot of fuss about MW2 way before the price tag was announced.
Even if IW made PC's own version with dedis and an acceptable player limit, SC2 would be way above MW2's league, in virtually every aspect.
Your smartass-ness is neither justified nor welcome.

One game takes a decade to test and refine and it is made with quality.
The other is created by squeezing out a steaming pile of ....
Hmm...thinking of getting this; I put alot of hours into the beta. Releasing the game into 3 parts, though...but that collector's edition looks awesome. Curse you Blizzard!
Oh, I have an extra beta code (none of my friends are interested)--first one to inbox me can have it. (Excuse my ignorance if this is against the rules) I'll check my inbox later to see who replied first.

I'm merely calling out those who stated that no PC game is worth $60 (a console tax, they argued, that PC gamers shouldn't have to pay). SC2 reveals them as hypocrites. If you really, truly, have a problem with paying $60, then you've got to point the finger at Blizzard, too.MW2 sells for $60 and there was a worldwide nerd riot. I think people griping about the $60 price point for games in general is kind of dumb. Adjusting for inflation, $60 today is equivalent to $50 roughly seven and a half years ago. If people think that new full retail games are still going to be $50 decades from now when that is the cost of a fast food meal, those people need a serious reality check.

MW2's price tag made a lot of noise because it was riding the IW.net's wave, and previous CoDs were priced at 50$. If the 60$ thingy would have been announced as soon as MW2 was revealed, you can bet noone would have had a problem with it.
While I agree that they are hypocrites, this thread is not the place to discuss it.
Damnit, you ruined the mood
