ok this is my rig:

i5 750 @ stock (dont get how to overclock it)

ati 4770 video card oc'd to 900/1000

kingston 2GB DDR3 1066 mhz ramhttp://www.anitec.ca/product/474048/kingston-ktl-tcm58-2g-ddr3-1066-pc3-8500-2gb-unbuffered-240-pin-dimm-ram-module-ktltcm582g

seagate 500 GB HDD 16 mb cache 7200 rpm 7200.12http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=15_210_212&item_id=021509

I had a 1 TB hard drive with 5900 rpm up until recently. I found that my starcraft 2 single/multiplayer loading times were really bad. So I upgraded to the hard drive above and I definitely find my single player loading times have improved. For some reason my multiplayer loading times is usually dead last out of all the players in the games Ive played using it so far. Does this mean the hard drive above blows or that everyone on SC2 is rocking an amazing SSD that I can't hope to match? Would this western digital caviar blue hard drive have been better instead?http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=15_210_212&item_id=010671Thanks for any help

I find that the first match I load in multiplayer always takes exceptionally long in SC2, but subsequent loads have been as long or shorter compared to the other players'.

Could be the RAM like you suspect, I think you should be able to keep your old RAM but throw 2 more GB in. This will allow SC2 to be loaded up onto the RAM instead of constantly switching between the RAM and HDD during loading.

You could try using GameBooster. That should help you a little bit until you can get 2GB more of RAM.
