I mostly don't have internet except for once eveyr few days (how i'm posting this), so i would love to play SC2 offline.

I have an account, i have a character on that account, I have even played a Battle.net game. I have no clue how much more i could "authorize" my game client. Honestly... and yet still, when I don't have internet, it gives me that same stupid message, that you need to "authorize" the game client using Bnet. Please help? I have played a game online, what more can I do.

In my testing of what's wrong, if I connect to Bnet, then logout and disconnect my internet, yes, I can connect offline perfectly fine. Yet if I even RESTART starcraft between my connection to the MP, i can't play offline.

Could it be that I authenticated it through an internet cafe? (starbucks)

And for people saying it requires broadband internet connection, this is a quote from a blizzard employee (forget who)

"You don't technically have to (login), but you'll want to. You can play in offline mode if you want - I just don't think you're going to want to. You'll be giving up lots and lots of features, and why would you want to be giving up features?"

So yes, unless they made a false claim about their product, you can play offline.

I've been able to get on the game in offline mode.

Like you said, it does require it to be authenticated first before you try it in offline mode, which it seems you have done. The only thing I can think of which almost threw me off as well is that you do still technically have to "login" in to the Bnet. When you start the game it will prompt you to enter in your ID (email address) and if you do't have internet it will then give you the option to play in offline mode (rather than asking for a password)

Hope this helps. If not, you may want to try their tech support.

lol I don't get it. So every time you want to play sp you have to log in to battle.net (enter e-mail, password)? Can't you just play sp offline without being connected to the internet after you registered the game to your account?
