unless you're talking about the campaign, then i guess one can say that kerrigan leveling up and you have the freedom to change her abilities to your liking somewhat rpg'ish.

if you're talking about the multiplayer/league/ladder, then the answer is simply no.
Closest thing you can get is HoTS campaign in which Kerrigan gets levels. After that, unless you play custom games, forget any RPG element like Warcraft 3.

That's me playing the game lol. I uploaded it, that's my channel. That's just the prologue. The full game is on its way.
The only RPG elements you're going to get is controlling a specific character in the story and leveling her. You get some stuff like that in WoL but not really. SC2 is supposed to be enjoyed as an RTS I guess you could say. If you want to look it up theres a mod for SC2 that basically makes the game into Diablo 2 but you play as a marine with a mini gun and the icons arent as different from the SC2 ones but otherwise its pretty sick. Theres plenty to explore in Arcade section of the game. RPG stuff, MOBA type stuff. Just go see. :D.
