Some magazine visited Bliz and they were given the specifications on SC2.

Minimum:
- Graphics:
Series GeForce 7/8 or Radeon 1000/2000 with 256 MB.
-CPU:
Pentium 4.
-RAM:
1 GB.

Recommended:
-Graphics:
GeForce 8000 or Radeon series 2000 with 512 MB.
-CPU:
Core 2 Duo or Athlon X2.
-RAM:
2 GB.

ho, those recommended requirements are pretty steep! but the minimum requirements, as expected, are reasonable.fireandcloud

Not a problem for me but i honestly espected RAM to be lower, but come to think of it I can't think of anyone I know with less then a gig.

I think minimum is any 7 series card.

the low end 7 cards are a lot weaker than a 6600.

GPU: With the 9 series Geforce cards or the 3000 radeon series, the game will be playable at max.

CPU: It doesn't seem that the game will perform much better with better processors than the 3Ghz core2duo or athlon x2.

RAM: 2GB, but it will perform better if they are in dual-channel.

Peripherals: A laser mouse and a gaming keyboard will be very good.

The game is being developed for MACs and PCs.

For multiplayer, if you don't have ADSL, you'll be out, and it is recommended a 3GB ADSL.

Wow. CnC3+Kane's Wrath has similar graphics and is apparently FAR better optomised. An EA game for christ's sake (A good one once the balance problems are gone and a great-looking one though).

I think it's safe to say that Red Alert 3 looks better and will probably have lower requirements. Hell those are higher than Crysis! I have trouble believing that those are real.

Im pretty sure those are Fake, they are way too high for a Game like that. I mean even Crysis has lower Min. Requirements.Tuzolord

Still, I suppose by late 08 - early (or even mid (or, hell, even late)) 09, those will be decidedly mid-range specs.

Ugh, it seems like I'm always wishing I had gotten a 512MB 8800GTS instead of the 320MB. You live and you learn. It's still a great card, and by the time SC2 does come out, I'll probably be SLIing another GTS or something. Playing Crysis got me in the PC mood again when I was pleasantly surprised how well I could run it... (let's just hope the PC industry stays afloat now)

May not be able to completely max it out, but pretty damn close! :D

ah crap, my video card is in the minimum range :( luckily my proc and ram make up for it q6600, 4gb ram.

Hmm. I assume that its the hard drive space but even so 3GB is fairly small in comparison to some other games these days.

It supposed to be internet connection, they probably meant 3mb, a lot of those Numbers are very wierd and unreal, that spanish magazine probably got paid by some hardware store or something to make people go buy new rigs etc. The Game hasnt even gotten an release date yet

Id never bealive a mag by people who havent even visited Blizzard first hand. Also in the latest Q and A blizzard have said they do not know the requirments yet and will detail closer to realse date.

And to the guy who said Kains Wrath is more optimized and is an EA game what are you talking about. Youve never even played sc2 and its engine is capable of 2000 units on screen
