Okay, I have windows 7 and lately i've been experiencing some startup slowdown. Just last week I could start up my computer in a few seconds but now I have to wait 3 or 4 minutes from the "starting windows" screen to the sign in. I am experiencing no other issues, and my computer runs smoothly otherwise. I have made no huge software changes in that timeframe. What could be the issue here?

Go to Start, Search "msconfig", go to the Startup tab, and see what's actually starting up, maybe there are some unnecessary programs loading. My other suggest may be to run this Jkdefrag, run the defrag.exe of this, until its finished, it moves all your files to the center of ur HDD, closer together, and optimizes your system and startup.

hope that helps

LIttle things, like updating Quicktime tends to put it back on the startup list. Also, you should scan your computer for spyware, that can have a big effect on your startup.
