So I have never really played a stratergy game and am looking into getting into it. I want something with a large playerbase and fun for new players and something I can sit down and play and just have fun.. So reccomend me some Stratergy games. Thanks

R.U.S.E., World in Conflict and even the Command & Conquer games are quite good to get into.

Edit: Looks like PredatorRules was faster ;). Company of Heroes and the Total War games are really great too, almost forgot. Dawn of War II could be another recommendation.

Total War: Shogun 2, World in Conflict, C&C: Generals and World in Conflict are pretty good games.

Starcraft II is the king right now, but its really fast paced and extremely competetive, so some may not like it.

SUpreme Commander 1is a pretty fun one if youre first starting out; the campaign is pretty easy, and the skirmish mode is a whole lot of fun. Its good for discovering your style, too, as it caters to just about any (rush, turtle, etc)

Starcraft 2 would be a good bet as the campaign acts as a good trainer for basic RTS mechanics, and it has likely the largest online playerbase if multiplayer is where you want to go.

If you want some good classics, the Command and Conquer series is likely the best bet: I highly recommend C&C: The First Decade as it includes nearly all of the best of the series (C&C 3 is not included, I recommend that as well).

just gonna say that you spelled strategy wrong twice.

OT: SC2 is prolly the best rts game you can get imo

if you are looking for turn based, Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalker 2021 is a pretty sweet card strategy game as well.

I highly recommend the Kohan series. I'm not much of a strategy gamer at all, and Kohan is one of the few games in the genre that has ever really been able to hook me.
