Hey guys I have a bit of an annoying problem. I just built a new pc and when I have my speakers or headphones on I can hear static its a lot more noticable when I'm on a internet page with a video then compared to GS for example. But even when I'm on the desktop not doing anything I can still hear static and it's really annoying since even when I'm not listening to anything I have my headphones on. Now I know its not my headphones or speakers since I used them with other computers and they are fine. I have my headphones plugged into my motherboard at the back and my speakers plugged in the front case. I've tried using them seperatly and still hear static. Any ideas?

Thanks

It's a lot more useful if you provide the info of your headphones, speakers, and rig. Have you tried updating your audio drivers? I don't know what onboard you're using, so I can't really provide much advice.

Relocate your audio cables might be noise coming over them that will produce a static sound. See if that helps before going crazy and taking a hammer to the machine
