steam and account stuff

so i am about to set up my new computer, and i dont want to lose all of my steam stuff

i have an account on there im auto-signed on to every time i start up steam, and on the store's home window in the top right corner it says "your account", so i click it and it asks me to log in, i put my info in, and it says its not valid, i try the "forget your password" option, it takes me to the support page, and in that page i click the "lost" button at the login screen on that page, and i have tried typing in both my e-mail and my account name, and it says there is no account

but when i click "settings" on the bottom of my Steam window and i look over it, everything i had was correct (i re-check my password, my email adress, they are the same that i type in)

so what do i do? do i have to make a new account? (when i tried making one it said my account name was taken, i have a pretty damn unique name)

is there another way to get my games i bought off steam on my new computer?
