Agreed. I briefly considered Joint Ops (cause I loved the demo, but the community is dead now) and OFP: DR but apparently it's a poor man's ArmA 2. Maybe tomorrow :P

been very disappointed the last 2 days, come on now steam! where are the good games! crysis, fallout 3 and so on..

I have heard many good things about Europa Universalis. Perhaps that will be a good deal for me. Absolutely nothing else has sparked any interest for me so far.

Anyone here that can recommend Oddworld? I'm kind of interested at the 2 dollar price tag.

It is no surprise that people are gettind disappointed.

Every Holiday special sales since 2008 followed the same routine.

first day: fantasitc special sale list with at least 2 games that are popular and demanded by the public.

2nd-3rd day: at least 1 game that is considered to be a decent game.

after that, it just pulls less and less popular ones until the event ends.

Like last december 23rd, people were so disappointed with the special sales list, but still hoped for better tomorrow because they thought x-mas eve would make steam to show better games, but their expectation, again, turned into disappointments.

Anyone here that can recommend Oddworld? I'm kind of interested at the 2 dollar price tag.

Brilliant but challenging platformers. I'd say they're well worth picking up at that price.

Oddworld and Monkey Island are the only great deals there though. I've also heard good things about Europa Universalis, but from what I've played they're not my thing.

Woohoo, EUIII is fantastic and I'll finally be able to get all the expansions for cheap. When you get the game, download the magna mundi mod, and trust me, you'll have fun with it.

I've been disappointed with every day except the first. Oh well. At least they're giving the people something. Wonder what tomorrow's will be like.

The only game im looking for at this point is borderlands, really hoping they put it up. Although Monkey Island seems like it could be fun, how is it?

picked up monkey island, been wanting this for awhile now.

So...Europa Universalis 3. Is it good? I've never really played a strategy game of this scale before, and I'm wondering if it would be over my head.

Picked up Dragon Rising, considering King Arthur, might get oddworld and monkey island pack for my girlfriend. Dogfighter looks interesting as well but i'll probably pass. It's a decent sale day, still hoping they'll have Just Cause 2 and AvP up at some point.

Nothing special for me... Maybe monkey island. I'll think about it, but I'm surprised that people didn't like yesterdays. Gothic 2 / 3 and Max Payne 1 & 2 for 5 bucks? I thought that was awesome.

Europa universalis might be the best game series from Paradox interactive. I recomend EU3 if you like historical strategy games. Its just like hearts of iron except different era and has more diplomacy and colonisation. An excelent gameseries it is.

The series is traditional point and click adventure, talk to characters, pick up objects, solve puzzles. The heart of the series was always comedy, but the first game's humor was much more subtle than the other games. That one was recently re-released and is well worth the $9.99.

I'm sure Tales is a good game, but no matter how good it is, it can't hold a candle to Monkey Island 2 -- which is getting a special re-release in about a week with updated graphics and voice acting. Monkey Island 2 and 3 (not on Steam for some mysterious reason) are often considered the best in the series.

I played the Monkey Island games to death years ago when they first came out and to be honest I don't particularly relish the thought of paying Lucasarts "money for old rope" especially not after they way they have practically ditched the PC platform. As for Oddworld erm that's a platformer aint it ? never been a big fan of platformers and I don't expect to start being a fan of them now.

Still as others have said there is always tomorrow we will have to see.
