I recently got a new computer, but need to keep my old steam account active on the old one for various reasons. I am wondering if there is any way to transfer or gift games from the old account to the new one? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

your only option is to install steam on both computers and download the games you want on each computer....you can download and install every game and you can play on both computers at once...the issue is that you can only play in ONLINE mode on one computer at a time

you can't gift games unless you bought it and said it was a gift. You MUST use your old steam account when you install steam on your new PC or you'll have to buy all your games again.

Why can't you install and use your old account on your new PC? And no, there is no other way to transfer your games over (as far as I know).

you don't need to make a new steam account. Steam accounts can be used on as many different computers at once. As long as they aren't being used online at the same time. I've transferred my games and accounts to a few different computers after upgrading. Steam is fine with that. Just log into your old account.

Multiple people cannot play on the same steam account at the same time. You'll need to buy the games for each account.

Just use Steam in offline mode on a PC and stay online or offline on the other one.
