iam playing just cause 2..so if its not gonna save the save game files..how do i make a manual copy of the saved games?can you tell me the path?
yes just cause does use steam cloud!however also found links about how it deletes saved files..found the path though..its in the steam folder under user data.thanks anways!
It depends on the game. Some games use Steam Cloud, which saves games onto Valve's own server, but most games don't.ProudLarry

I don't understand the question.... Sounds like you're asking if the games automatically save everything you do, during a game.... And they don't. Either you have to save manually, or the game uses a checkpoint system (a console carryover element) and you must pass the checkpoint, before it actually saves to the Harddrive. As for PC crashes.... Typically a PC crash is not going to erase stuff from your Harddrive and rarely will a random crash corrupt data from the Harddrive. I mean, if the crash does corrupt data from the Harddrive your saved games, are the least of your problems.ThreesixtyciHe's asking about if Steam's servers have a copy of his own save file. So if for instance, his computer dies on him, hard-drive crashes, or he just simply wants to play on a different computer, he doesn't have to worry about starting a brand new game. Games using Steam Cloud will automatically upload your save files to Valve's own servers, and then download your save files for you to use on any other computer.

So what are you arguing again?
