steam not launching please help

please help steam is not launching when i click on the icon it simply does not start or if it does it simply says it is loading which i left it for half an hour and it did not load

i only have 3 games installed on steam

what is wrong no matter what it refuses to start

please help

There is an update so that is likely the issue, try ending the process in task manager, restarting your PC and if they fail I guess you could uninstall steam and download the new client? back up your steam apps folder first though.

And check on the Steam forums, they have lot of tips that have helped me when I had other issues...
