I just bought my first game off of steam and I have a few questions...

  1. Will I be able to download the game again, If I; Change HDD's/Change OS's?
  2. Why are the games so cheap?
  3. If I delete steam will the games work still?

Will I be able to download the game again, If I; Change HDD's/Change OS's? Why are the games so cheap? If I delete steam will the games work still? 1. Yes. And you can download the same game on multiple PCs at the same time. 2. With no need for DVDs, shipping, distribution and such, digital distribution is cheaper. And it's easier to find the best deals on the frontpage of Steam than to check several retail stores in hopes that you get lucky. 3. You cannot permanently delete a game on Steam. You can only delete the local content from your HDD but it will always stay on your Games List with unlimited reinstalls.

I love steam. Just wish every game was avaliable and every game supported Steam. Also i have saved a fortune on new and older games on Steam, especially weekend deals. My 25g monthly limit is the only thing stopping me getting more games than i can play lol.

I'd rather every game was available on direct2drive than steam... D2D doesn't requireadded programs to be installed and running.

Thats all part of why i love Steam. Friends list, Auto patching, stat tracking, achievments, usergroups with chatrooms etc etc. Fantastic.
