The game is barely worth £5. I thought the games retail would have been reduced to at least £15 by now anyway, seeing as it was a deeply mediocre (at best) game with largely bad reviews. £15 in a sale is a terrible price. Stay away.
It started with so much potential, kinda like metro 2033. Then it turned into a bad COD rip off, and I got so bored. At least COD SP is fun because you are 1337 millitary gaiz, homefront is like my body made of poopoo can eat bulletz.
Not bothered about homefront, but Tomb Raider Underworld is on sale for £3.99, worth it?

I would hold onto your money for BF3 or MW3. With those two multiplayer giants coming out at the end of the month you will really only play the SP campaign and at that price it is not worth it IMO.
I bought Metro 2033 to torture my new gaming PC and Armageddon personally.

It depends on what you're looking for, right now there aren't a lot of modern military shooters and aside from Homefront we have BF and COD. Homefront has some interesting ideas, albeit not the best execution, but if you're into modern military shooters, it's at least worth considering. I haven't played Homefront much, but as with most things, it's not nearly as bad as GS'ers make it out to be(and the converse can be said as well, GS'ers tend to overhype and irrationally praise arguably mediocre games).
I'll get it when it's about $5 too. I like the concept the story. I had fun with Frontlines, so hopefully I'll get an equal experience to make that $5 worth it.
Nah, its a mediocre game at best, the community is dying and the single-player campaign has great potential but horrible execution, and its incredibly boring.
Three levels in and the SP ain't bad. Some of the scripted stuff sure is impressive.
But as much as I like the weapons and the overall Call of Duty... with vehicles!!!! feel, I won't play the MP because it's too clunky. I couldn't run through a giant hole in the wall because I was blocked by the last 10 centimeters anchored to the ground and I couldn't jump through it because I hit the upper wall. That's when I decided I won't play it online anymore.
Well, that and the fact that the only people left playing know the game inside out. Here's an accurate depiction of what will happen to you in Homefront multiplayer.
