It is. Valve games are much better with a mouse though, they always feel nice to me, much smoother and more fluid controls than a lot of newer games, I totally advocate 360 controllers, I use them for most singleplayer games, even FPS, but yeah, Left 4 Dead to me, is so much better with a mouse.

It's fantastic, a lot of people don't like the maps on the second as much as the first, but the added content and enemies makes it more fun to me. Don't forget that it's a multiplayer/co-op game though, it really doesn't shine until you take it online.
Finally got it, I kept missing the other sales it was in. Replaced my xbox 360 copy now :) I hardly ever played it because I prefered KB/M so I just played the first on my PC (although I got both 1+2 for 360 for £10 so I couldn't complain).

It's a lot worse than the first if you ask me. :P It's easily worth $7 though. The community should gain a small boost too, which is good. When I last played it 6 months ago the community was rather dwindling.

I bought the game when it was $5 during the holiday sale last year, and I've only played a few hours. Honestly this game is really fun only when you have other friends that play the game. Some of the PUG groups can be fun, but a lot of the time it just ends up being annoying when you have people that don't even bother playing as a team.

It's a game where you can make online friends, quickly.... Just send an friend request to someone that isn't a jerk, you meet their friends and before you know it, you'll never have to deal with public games again, unless you want to.

Get it. Just go into a lobby and people come. And you can add them. Also, the maps are a lot better than the first game. More open so that you can't stack up against walls, so much variation.

I second this. I have been replaying the game tonight after a 1 year hiatus and it's just not fun to join a game anymore. Half the people are elitist that kick others on the first mistake, the other half seems to be griefers and tbh, after 1 hour of this crap, I was about to join the griefer groups so I uninstalled the game. What a waste of bandwidth
I dont like playing games online/multiplayer i rather play by myself or co-op with friends(in the same room not online)

The single-player and the multiplayer are basicly the same thing, except one has actual people. I think the only mode that can't be played in Single-Player is Versus, but I could be wrong about that. I personally don't enjoy playing with the AI. I can't really say much for the co-op for the pc version, but I have played the xbox 360 version splitscreen and it was as fun as playing online.
