The games themselves are fantastic. If you really feel you need more after those two get the DLC, but honestly they are not great. That was what I was waiting for all week, bought both mass effect and the deluxe edition.
Anyone know if the DLC for mass effect 2 is worth it? Kasumi + Overlord
Cenerune
Kasumi and Overlord equal about another 2 hours of gameplay (and that is being generous). It is difficult to say if it is worth it, I would play Mass Effect 2 a few times then if you hunger for more it mght be worth it. None of the DLC has had any bearing on the story line so far so you aren't missing anything story wise if you neglect the DLC. Although I would say it is fun to play the game through with Kasumi.
I'm waiting for the Mass Effect 2 GoTY Edition sale (which will include all of the DLC) :PRemmibGood call mate.
I'm waiting for the Mass Effect 2 GoTY Edition sale (which will include all of the DLC) :PRemmibThere will be no GOTY, because almost all the DLCs are free, and they won't re-release a GOTY edition with 2 DLCs at a lower price, not Bioware, especially not Bioware + EA ;).
@shakmaster, yes and there is no Steam version, it's the same game, all you need is the save and it will work on any game, retail or from Steam, on all ME, 1,2, and the next one 3.
Tempting but i dont wanna risk it, i think ill wait till it gets cheaper. [QUOTE="Remmib"]I'm waiting for the Mass Effect 2 GoTY Edition sale (which will include all of the DLC) :Pdakan45If that happens then ill go for it too.
same for me as well. won't hurt to wait a little longer.
My question is, can I use a non-steam character form ME in a steam version of ME2? And a character from ME on steam in a non-steam version of ME2?shakmaster13
This shouldn't be a problem. There's a configuration tool that comes with the game install that allows you to specify the location of your ME1 saves for import. I had the Steam version of ME1 and was able to import its saves into the retail version of ME2 without any trouble.
If its the weekend deal it will last until Monday morning. How long is the deal gonna last? I CAN'T MISS THOSE.

Does Kasumi have lots of things to say in the game about situations? I got the DLC after completing the game.Kasumi and Overlord equal about another 2 hours of gameplay (and that is being generous). I honestly can't remember  which probably suggests she doesn't say anything that interesting during various game situations outside of her bit of DLC.

You can't actually have conversations with her. She says 1 liners about each characters plot missions after you finish them, and she gossips about your love interest.

Hmm thinking i'll grab mass effect 1 off steam for this great price, but I see mass effect 2 cheaper elsewhere. Although i've heard of people transferring some saves or something from mass effect 1 over to the second, I guessI wouldnt be able to do that ifI got the second elsewhere?
