Steam sale on rift but crank up the price?

Rift £30 - 14% off = £30 aye?

I though this was a mistake at first because Rift was £30 even before release. Now its at 14% off but they cranked the price up to £35 so its selling for £30 anyway lol.

I think I saw it on Amazon.com for $29.99 several days ago. Tempting, but still too much for something I want to "try" with subscription cost.Elann2008

I've seen Rift twice now for £15 and that was a boxed copy, DD isn't always cheaper :).

This whole bumping up the price before you add your "discount" is common practice over here now sadly :( all the main supermarkets and chains use this dirty tactic.

the game seems good, everyone who has tried it seems to like it.

Direct 2 drive just had Rift for 29.95 but was just for 1 day.
