Steam Update. WTF is this shit?

anyone else just get this steam update that added in some extremely ugly organization tabs to your game list?

What the hell is up with the "#steam_gamessection_mygames" and "#steam_library_filter_owner" bullshit? Why can't I just have my games in alphabetical order like they were? Why are they now insisting that non-steam games have a separate category, and that the categories be identified with headers that look like someone made a mistake and let the underlying code show at the surface? It's ugly and unwanted.

EDIT: I switched it to show icons and now I see it. So I switched icons off and its still there D:

As that is not a feature, it clearly looks like an error.

That's exactly why it's bugging me so much. It does look like an error. But no, restarting steam didn't get rid of it. A couple hours ago, steam downloaded an update, and after restarting it was like that. Its in the main view, and the "small mode".

Steam didn't download an update for me. It seems like I don't have this issue. Shame restarting didn't help, I guess you'll have to wait for another update :(

Mines looking like before. Don't know why are they making steam so painfully ugly, adding all that useless stuff like trading cards and bloody disgusting new profiles.

I was as happy as can be with the screenshot sharing feature and the community page, but from there onwards they're overloading steam with useless features making it more messy and slow... i just want to play :(

For those who have this problem completly exit out of Steam, locate Steam installation folder on your computer, eg: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam. then within the Steam folder Delete everything EXCEPT Steam.exe and SteamApps and userdata folder, after that run Steam.exe as adminitrator ( right click run as adminitrator ), Steam will start updating itself and reinstalling, after that log back in steam and problem should be resolved.

The game list, categories, and library are archaic as hell. There should be more customization and functionality.

Yeah I thought it was something like that. Definitely looked like a beta update test thing. Hopefully they'll just include that as an option rather than make it mandatory.

I'm not complaining, they don't interfere with anything and you can make real money off of them.

Yeah, I meant when that update goes live for real, sorting your library in that fashion or not would be personal preference. I'm signed up to the beta updates myself. :)
