D2D isn't very good. However they do have lots of games so if can't find a game your looking for then they might have it.JangoWuzHereHuh.. what problems did you have with them? I haven't, nor have I heard of anybody having weird things with them for a long time now.
Steam is so bloody intrusive and recently it's getting even worse - more and more games are forcing you to run steam in the background and have all the steam popups making their way up your ass. I hate it with a passion.F1_2004What Popups? and Steam Running in the background doesnt slow you down or anything...
I've used both. D2D has given me some problems. Example: My CD Key for Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory ran out of activations. They reply and state that the game doesn't require a CD key anymore - but that's certainly not the case. Instead of getting the game to work, they give me $10.GodLovesDead
Wierd, i had the same situation one time, but they gave me a new activation key and said if it happens again to email them again. It wasnt for Splinter Cell though.

might be possible that latest patch removed cd-key check. did you try to install latest patch?
D2D is crap the cost is overpriced steam is much better Beaglesniffer
Err no? Have you even ever used D2D? They have very similar prices, Dawn of war 2 is 49,99 on steam and 49,95 on D2D... Same can be said about 80% of the stuff on both sites, the only time Steam is cheaper is when a product is on a special sale.

Yes, that's what they said - and it's not the case at all.I personally love Steam as a solid platform for all of my games. Infact even if I don't download my game through steam, I have a shortcut in steam. It's really nice.
However I do like how D2D actually gives you just the game that you can install, doesn't load the files indvidually. Makes backing up your games on an external harddrive so much easier.
Personally I prefer STEAM, my reasonings are, STEAM works pretty much all over the world (atleast the places I have been), D2D does not yet.
Steam autopatches your games, and it is really easy to scan your games through for errors, or defrag them withsteam.
I really hope to see D2D lift off internationally, they do give a really nice package when There are games I can acturally buy from there.
But as it is now, STEAM in a combo with GoG. (and the fact thatgames bought through steam is usually about 20 bucks cheaper then when I go out to buy them in stores :s
