Again, done some research and can't decide what gaming combo should I buy.

all at the same range of price and all got simillar and difference features, such as costumizations, better tech etc.

Stuck on choosing between 3 keyboards: Logitech G110, SteelSeries Shift and Microsoft X6 - all comes with macros which is kinda important to me, all got in-game macro recording thing etc...

X6 got cool unique feature compared to the other 2 which is Switchable key pad - very cool, don't know how much usable it is...

also got Cruise Control which is cool - used feature in some games.

Shift got another cool unique feature which is the All-round use - alot reminds the profiles that any gaming keyboard uses but this one also do as it said: It can reduce reaction time in First Person Shooters, it can increase Actions Per Minute in Real Time Strategy titles and it can do advanced macros (including timed delays) in Massive Multiplayer Online games.

and of course the Logitech G110 is pretty much regular gaming keyboard that looks very well indeed. no special features on this one...

I'm also still stuck on choosing mice -

SideWinder X8 USB Gaming Mouse - got 75G acceleration which is most unique, also wireless - up to 30 hours gaming, and after 15-20 min of charching you can play again another 30 hours - awesome isn't? got as well BlueTrack Technology World's most advanced tracking technology for gaming with image processing of 13,000 frames per second. got macros on it 5, and mouse wheel can tilt left and right - (for fps's basically), Full-speed, 500 Hz USB reporting is built for lag-free play.

Logitech Laser Mouse G9x - got it's cool features as well - you can custom him as well - weights, grip, two scroll modes (grip and slide) - basically like the RAT7 but without the aim botton.

SteelSeries Xai Laser Mouse - True Sensitivity: SteelSeries Xai offers you true hardware based sensitivity settings, freeing you of interpolation from game software.

Advanced Macros -On the SteelSeries Xai you can record 8 macros for key combinations that can be up to 200 different keystrokes and with a precise timing of sequences.

SteelSeries FreeMove eliminates path correction, which makes the mouse predict, correct and make your movement straight. For FPS games that require high precision, this is a crucial feature.

SteelSeries ExactRate enables you to adjust the rate of which data is sent from the SteelSeries Xai to your computer.

Saitek Cyborg R.A.T. 7 Gaming Laser Mouse

Tracking Speed - Up to 6m/sec - when most nowdays are 1ms - but how much does a 5m/s will effect my gaming? seriously probably none, currently using Microsoft 10$ mouse non gaming and I still rule the charts.... so anything would be good :D

probably most changeable custom mouse:

Interchangeable Pinkie grips and Palm rests, Custom Weight System, Precision Aim Mode – Hit your target the first time every time. Use the ST Programming Software to set your desired Precision Aim speed (mouse sensitivity), then hold down the Precision Aim button to slow down mouse movement to a level that works for you. A deadly weapon that will hit your enemy where it hurts. - probably main and best feature of this mice.

and of course the Razer Imperator - simple look, with bomb tech - Up to 200 inches per second/ 50g acceleration, 1000Hz Ultrapolling™ / 1ms response rate.

the problem? I think it's too simple for me, I need to be unique and not follow anything that's simply good. - no cool features? high con IMO

I'd go for the Razer set. It's cheaper and the Blackwidow is any incredible keyboard. Although, do note that the Ultimate edition of the Blackwidow has backlit keys while the normal Blackwidow does not. I don't know if that's important to you or not, but just making sure you know before you make a decision.

I've seen the ultimate edition and it's not worth to be called like that for 50$ to have your backlit option, I'd rather go for the Dragon Age 2 edition to have the red color for a 60$ more.

You can get the Ultimate for 105$ at newegg. Though is disappointing that it only has one color glow.

color backlight is a nice thing, but nothing much important, I've just found out that the Logitech G510 can press up to 5 buttons at the same time and it's got a Full Speed USB cable which is four times faster than other gaming keyboards and on the other hand the BlackWidow is a mechanical buttons keyboard which is also very important if you're a gamer

Something you'll want to keep in mind about the Blackwidow is the fact that it uses Cherry Blue keyswitches, which some people have trouble gaming on. Also, the Blackwidow only has 2KRO, which means that at any given time the keyboard is only guaranteed to register two simultaneous key presses. I would definitely go for a mechanical keyboard, but you might want to do some more research on other keyboards before you go with the Blackwidow.

wow then compared to the G510 it's kinda sucks - for the same price of the Ultimate BlackWidow - pressing only 2 buttons at the same time? kinda sucks when you think of multiplayer fps's - running forward+right/left + jump is impossible?

Yeah, I sadly is not nkro though. It can only register 2keys to 6keys at once only depending on what keys, is good enough for gaming, but I think it will hold you back if your a typist, true 100+wpm. The rosewill keyboard that newegg had have nkro, meaning you can jam the whole keyboard and still register. Whether is blue keys, blacks, or browns it depends on the user. It is really clicky and therefore loud if you like to have hear-feel to the keys than you will love it, but if you hate the noise than this kb is not for you.

If you like the g510, why not go for the g110 instead is cheaper unless you really like the lcd screen for $30 extra. You should also checkout the steelseries mech keyboards too.

In a lot of cases, the Blackwidow will actually register more than two keys. The 2KRO just means that there are several key combinations that will be locked out at 2. This might not end up being much of a problem depending on how you use it or what games you play, but the risk will always be there.

note taken... I hate when my mice makes sound when clicking it, so pushing down in game every sec some button on my keyboard that will make noise....yeah this keyboard would probably sold in 2 days after buying... and for the SteelSeries keyboads - the 7G looks promising - the feature of No-click mechanical professional gaming keyboard - sounds awesome unlike the Razer's BlackWidow

I think is best to actually go out to the store and try to test the keyboards first. Though I dived head first with the blackwidow by buying it first without ever trying a mechanical keyboard. Overall I am warming up to its liking, and supposely mech keyboards are better for you fingers in the long run since your fingertips are not bottoming out for the keys to register.

G110 has 36 macros, 12 macro keys with 3 different groups you change with a button press. I am typing on one now. Great keyboard, I plug my Logitech mouse into the keyboard. Logitech makes good products, including controllers.

I use a $10 generic keyboard. Is this why I am not as awesome as I can be in games like Bad Company 2? :P I do fairly well but will a gaming keyboard make a big difference?

How many keys can you press simultaneously with the G110?

For gaming? Honestly? Unless you're running into key combinations you can't press, I doubt it. For a high-level competitive gamer you could shave off a bit of time for rapid keypresses with certain switch types, but that's only really important in certain games. What it is great for is actually day-to-day use. Typing on (most types of) mechanical keyboard is a much nicer experience than typing on nearly any rubber dome on the market. For many people it actually makes typing enjoyable again.

thanks for all of you, I'll probably go with the G110, the Cyborg looks cheap kinda way, and I'm not the only one that's telling it, you can view reviews on YouTube, sites etc. Also you can see in vids that the backlit isn't accurate. I've also thought about the SteelSeries Merc Stealth - which is awesome for a FPS fanatic gamer (problem I'm not focused only on FPSs, I also play RPGs, RTSs and many other generes.

BTW do you know how many key pressing you can do at once on the G110?

You're talking about the ultimate key pressing gaming keyboard which SteelSeries offers - the 7G. But yeah, I'm also currently using a 10$ keyboard and pressing 3 keys simuteniously blocks my gaming sometimes - and it's very annoying

So you'd recommend a mechanical keyboard like the Razer Black Widow?

[QUOTE="Elann2008"] So you'd recommend a mechanical keyboard like the Razer Black Widow?

Honestly? I don't recommend the Razer Black Widow if it can be avoided. It's probably one of the worst mechanical keyboards to come out in recent memory. It uses a switch type that is far from ideal from a gamers perspective, it doesn't feature NKRO, and it's not particularly well-built. Its only saving grace is the backlighting on the premier version, but even then at that price you could find an old 82-key Deck which is also backlit. If you can live with the layout of the 82-key Deck it's a terrific board. [QUOTE="PredatorRules"] You're talking about the ultimate key pressing gaming keyboard which SteelSeries offers - the 7G. But yeah, I'm also currently using a 10$ keyboard and pressing 3 keys simuteniously blocks my gaming sometimes - and it's very annoying

No, I'm talking about any keyboard that uses NKRO, not just the 7G, and its more appealing little brother, the 6G v2. Most modern mechanical switch boards use NKRO to some extent, with the odd exception of Razer, who despite marketing themselves as a gaming company, opted to save pennies per unit to not include proper NKRO. Truth be told though, any keyboard that operates over USB instead of PS/2 is going to be limited to 6 keys + 4 modifiers (modifiers being keys like Ctrl, Shift, etc.) because of the USB interface and its inherent limitations. PS/2 is a direct hardware interrupt, and as such can accept as many inputs at the same time as the keyboard matrix allows.

Nah, hes talking about the Deck 82.

I'm getting my Legend in toxic green flavor in exactly 1 month. I feel like a broken record constantly recommending the Legend to people but it's honestly the best gaming keyboard. Other than the macro keys is has every feature the OP in this thread is looking for.

I haven't run into a combination of keys I can't press on my G110. OFC, I always use controllers and emulate the keyboard through Xpadder or PGP.

Bah, blue switches and bad for gaming mantra is all exaggerated unless your a pro gamer (lol) than it shouldnt be problem with an average gamer. It registers 2keys to 6keys depending on what you pressed, again unless your hulk-smashing your keyboards than is already a lot better than cheap membrane keyboard, yes it is disappointing. Although one thing is for certain that it types nicely :)

The xArmor u9bl-s uses brown switches perhaps you may want to look into that for lighter touch. As for mouse personally the Lachesis is one of the best mouse out there. The g700 resembles the g7 shape which was also superb too.

It's far from exaggerated depending on what type of game you're playing. Try doing some serious dodging in a UT game or some good macro work in Starcraft II and see just how annoying blues can be. Sure, it's not going to matter in Black Ops or World of Warcraft, but for certain types of games it's definitely noticeable.

i don't think blackwidow is that bad.. yes, it uses blue switches but blue switches are not extremely bad at gaming, especially onceyou're used to it.. even there's a few professional gamers use bboards with blu switches.. the mainand ultimate drawback would be it's 2KRO.. however, at it's price point, the regular blackwidow has a great value for a mechanical keyboard.. you should consider that a mechanical keyboard will last you for looooooooong time.. i'm personally looking to either buy it or save some more money for one of those filcos..

Thank you all for the tips, advices etc.

I've been battling all day with my thoughts inside my head - the choosing between Microsoft combo and Razer was huge... on the one hand you've got the cool MS mice which is also wireless, and cool keyboard with the all features I'll ever need; on the other hand I've got a combo of Razer with 1m/s each, simple but high tech for gaming.

guess what... the wireless thingy, the cool backlit keyboard...didn't appeal me at the end of it all - Razer won the match.

plus it matched my Megalodon which I've already bought few weeks ago. also a Razer Golaithus mice pad is coming soon...

Again thanks for the help :)

hmm..the keyboard and mouse are good but the headset...you can do much better with that price honestly.. but since you hadbought it, just be happy with it :)
