The game is DX10 only.....Even thoe its out on 360 and PS3.....Epic Fail. Why do developers do this? Dx10 is worthless really. Almost everything you could do in dx10 could have been done in dx9 and with better performance. And the majority are still using Windows xp, and their are still people out their with only dx9 cards!

It's a lame game anyway, but people should really move on. It's more than two years since Vista and the DX10 cards launched. There are even AGP DX10 cards...

except the majority aren't to fond of Vista or dx10. Why upgrade now when Windows 7 is right around the corner?

it's primarily a console game, making everything, units and maps, smaller; PC version is soley for the purpose of milking some sales.

most probably they developed the game with DX 10-> code and it's no point doing any modification for PC version since it's only an afterthought.

anyway, if you really like this kind of small scale *strategy* game, and don't have vista and cannot wait for Windows 7, you should get yourself a console.

Why did people upgrade before XP, when Microsoft launched new versions of Windows just as fast?

Maybe the rumour about free Vista-to-7 upgrade for Vista licenses bought starting this July is true. Then there would be absolutely no reason not to upgrade.

Vista is great. Nobody forces people to buy the Ultimate version or use Aero if their rigs suck. But most jumped in the trollercoaster...

DX10 is also great, but devs had to make hybrid engines, which perform worse than API native engines by definition.

Actually the biggest advantage of DX10 is performance over DX9. The graphics are only marginally better but DX10 allows shaders to process vertexes and pixels as necessary and this makes the DX10 format much more efficient. Also while the majority of pc's still use XP, the majority of gamers do not. The bigger point is that the world of technology is evolving and you need to keep up if you want access to all games. There are really very few DX9 cards left that will be powerful enough for the next generation of games.

The game is terrible. They didn't feel like working with two api(s) and decided DX10 offered the benefits they liked. Sooner or later developers will be dropping DX9 just like DX8 and 7. It will happen. Most gamers with Dx10 cards will berunning Vista anyway.

Actually DX10 s a lot better than DX9,,,the problem is that developers have not focused on it properly yet.

Also DX9 cant do all that DX10 can do.

I don't think DX10 is worthless. Those who say this, they don't have any clue how good DX10 is. Graphically it is far superior than DX9. That game might be lame that I don't want to comment (I didn't play it) but people should really understand that now it is time to embrace DX10.

From most games ive seen i could hardly tell the difference between dx9 and dx10..difference for sure but not exceptional,dx10 uses ram more efficiently which is a plus..but im sticking to xp until W7 is released...or someone waves a magic wand to make all games work on linux.

I want to see the differences in a DX10 native game and a DX9 game with DX10 features.
