i got a windows XP computer and i was playing diablo 1 and when i cloesd it it makes my computer look like erlirer verisons of windows and this is my 900th post
What exactly looks earlier? It sounds like your resolution and settings are getting set really low for Diablo, then aren't getting reset when the game closes. Check your display settings, are the resolution and color quality at its highest? Maybe try making sure Diable and your video card drivers are up to date.

they r up to date its just that when i highlight something after playing diablo it gives me that color from windows 98 or 95

I think your referring to 256 color. Windows XP sets some older games which run in 256 color automatically. (can be changed by right clicking on diablo, clicking properties, clicking on the Compatibility tab, and unchecking "run in 256 colors,"although this may make the animations messed up or not work atall. "Run in 640x480 screen resoloution may also be checked, uncheck that too but again it may not run.)Windows XP should revert to normal settings after you quit diablo if these compatibility options are on.
