I can hear strange sound from my PC. It is something like squelling, or how does it say. Is there something wrong. I think it is my GPU, that is making that noise. Please help me.

I think that it is the front fan. When i move my ear from GPU, towards front fan, this sound is getting noiser. So i t is fan or hdd.

Any suggestions to

Thanks responses. I also think that it is the fan, or hard drive. I have another question.

When i play oblvion the GPU makes a different noise, than when i am on my desktop, or doing anything else. Is this also normal??

It is normal for a GPU to get noisier when its work load increases, don't worry about it.

About the other sound: is the monitor a CRT?

This is normal; computers operate reliably at temperatures that approach 100C. This is very hot, you shouldn't touch them...

It is 4 and a half months old. I can hear that sound only when i am listening at specified angle. I cant hear it all the time, just when i move my ear, in different angles, i can hear it sometimes. I think that is my hard drive. I have opened my PC today, and when i move my ear to GPU i can still heard the noise, but when i aprroach my ear to hard drive, the sound is hooribly loud. Is this possiblle, that my HDD could make that sound???

Sorry for bad english.

Sorry for another post. My PC is crahing very often, and i think it is the HDD that is crashing. It crashes mostly when i am opening 4 programs or so. In a game, it has crashe just once, which is little, compare to my lets say 20 crashes. So i dont think it is the GPU, it also never crashes in 3D mark, or oblivion. It crashes mosttly when i am on internet, and listen music at the same time, and try to open another program, and than it crashes. I dont know what is wrong, but my HDD is also making that strange sound, which is really anoying.

I think it is the best to buy a new one. Your opinions???

I really wouldnt know what is wrong. Probably just something whit software. Look in event diary, and look what happenned before crash. Do you also get blue screen, because i do? And when PC crashes, i dont get any meassages, that the system has crashed.

Very strange.
