If those are the minimum, then this is perhaps the worst optimization job I have ever seen. By the way, 15 gigs of HDD space minimum? That's a bit ridiculous.
Instead of releasing a requirements list composed of PC hardware needed to play the game, I think it would be wise for companies to release more demos, allowing users to see how the game actual runs on their PC, instead of having to guess/assume before making the purchase.
The x1300 is close to the 6600 vanilla, nowhere near the 7800. The 15GB HDD space is excessive and the 2gb RAM minimum is laughable.
Confirmed F.A.K.E through sheer logic.
Gangans
I hope your sheer logic is right because according to the Global Moderator at thse Stranglehold forums, they're the minimum requirements.

I still find it hard to believe though, as you stated before, the gap between the x1300 and the 7800 is significant.
I dont believe they are too high, but I definately think there was a publishing error.
The 7800 is more than twice as powerful as the x1300. A 7800 is comparable to a x1800.... 7300 is like a x1300.
Definately the mistake but everything else is expected because of a port. Its alright apart from the 2gb ram.
hahahahahahaha...not true - those specs are recommended for Crysis
the game's graphics sucks - it has good effects which made it look good - effects won't demand those kind of specs
it has a bit better graphics than Mafia with good effects
15Gb? 7800GTX? 2Gb RAM?Dual Core? for minimum specs???it sure sounds like real bad optimization
i guess it's their way to sell PS3, want to buy an uber computer that willcost 5000$to play this game? you can do it in a cheap way!!! get yourself PS3 only for 1000$ and it has MGS4!!! and maybe God of War 3 will come too!!! lol
seriously they're doing bad PS3 advertisement...
While I want to play the game, I can't do it.
Only 1gb of ram and my graphics card is the minimum (7800), which means it'll probably look like crap.
It's not fake. A moderator at midway forums said so.ElectricNZ
lol - and what is the recommended? 2x2Gb RAM ,Quad Core, 2xUltra 8800 SLi?
ok this game isn't even a bit optimized - they just throw the game on the graphics engine and said "whatever"?
this game is bad ad to buy PS3 - seriously...
Hardly believable. I don't believe it. Besides Cinder said there was going to be a pc and xbox 360 demo today and I don't see it. Also there is one internet sources corroborating this as well: one at qj.net and forums around the internet.
I can't believe they would have the lunacy to create a game that takes up 15 gigs. Not even oblivion takes that amount. I can tell so far that this game is not going to sell well for the PC. And where's that fu cking demo?
I hadn't even heard of this game before this, but I found those specs hard to believe. I mean everyone knows that you need to exceed the recommended specs to run a game smoothly, that would pretty much mean a $2K rig. Also like mentioned the x1300/7800 makes absolutely no sense unless Ati slipped them some $$ to make it that way.
One explanation could also be the worst port ever, not having any graphics options but having to play it on the same settings as the console versions could end up giving that kind of requirements.
Anyway, not gonna panic over this and run to the store bying new parts, most games coming out atm seem to have minimum reqs around 3Ghz, 6600, 1Gb Ram and they still look way better than that game.

strawberries
it's 15Gb because they didn't optimized it at all - as in one trailer of this game they said it's coming on a blue ray cd - which means this game was meant to be played on the PS3, why on earth they're releasing it on the PC? idk, the graphics are crap - a 7800+ with 1Gb RAM and 1 Core processor should run it on max
Now that I think of it, it could be possible.
Dual-core CPU - A64x2 3600+ ? (not a huge deal, basically every modern computer has that or better, and it's way cheap)
2Gb Ram (Ok, this does strike me as weird, then again already last year Gothic3 was almost unplayable with 1Gb, add to that possible Vista and 2Gb might be close)
X1300/7800 (A typo, it should be either X1800/7800 or more likely x1300/7300, also for e.g. DiRT requires 6800/x1300)
15Gb HD Space (Could be if it has lots of videos and crap, almost everyone has a 120+ Gb HDD anyway, even DiRT required 12.5Gb)
God forbid you need a GOOD computer to run a NEXT GEN game.xxPanicxxlol I will wait till next year to get it lol when pc parts are a little cheaper lol
Am i the only one who remembers the days when developers would release 2 or more demos for an upcoming game before they released it. They used to do it to allow the player to see how well the game was developing, make sure their PC could run the game and see if they needed to upgrade. Really don't see how releasing more and more HD trailers for games is a good way to see how well a game runs because half the time in those trailers we never found out what specs the PC running the game has.
These minimum specs look pretty ridiculous to be honest, 15gb HD space? i mean rotfling rifles, wtfrockets and omgmissiles thats just a ludicrous amount of HD space for 1 game...

1005
yea we need those days back
I really hope this is a mistype or something. I have a Q6600, 7600GT, 2g, and a 320G hard drive. But how can my 7600GT not even play the game? that is crazy! I'm not upgrading my card until Crysis(9800 if it comes out). I can imagine a lot of people are doing the same. I wonder what the reccomended settings are lol. Btw, i've read on IGN and other places that the demo is being released the 20th for PC.
So i'll just see if it works then, I have a feeling my card will be able to play it on medium despite what they say.
