Stronghold and Stronghold: Crusader were both awesome games. I loved building castles and putting archers all along the castle walls then shooting a flaming arrow into a pool of oil. It's too bad that Stronghold 2 sucked.
Exactly what he said, only replace the oil with like 100 more archers and you got yourself some kickass gaming! Play it multiplayer with some buddies sometimes.
a very good one and does not need much sys requirements. an age old way of gaming that still gives a good life span for playing. but the stronghold can get much more better features from age of empires tactical and strategic AI
Stronghold Crusader is one of my all time favorite games. The only bad thing is that crap auto save that it does every ten seconds in multiplayer. Other then that it is flawless. Oh and the A.I. is completely stupid.

really very bad, yesterday was the first time i played over inernet, the autosave hanged my mood for a some time. that is really very crzy to have such option
ya i still play both stronghold games habitually. Although i will easily agree that stronghold 2 was a FAILURE in every sense of the word. i anticipated it so much too....anyways wow this is a very old topic

Now I'm not really the kind of person to religiously play really old games because I loved them when I was a 12 or 13 years old, but this is one of the only games I am sure I will play for years and years to come. I still play it when I get bored of Crysis, COD4, Guild Wars, TF2, and a lot of other very modern games. It was a brilliantly put together game and everything in it just worked well. I also tried Stronghold 2 and agree that it was a big failure. But yeah, I still do play it and think it's an incredible game.

Stronghold Crusader is incredible and it's still fun to boot it up every now and again. Stronghold 2 was terrible and took everything that was fun with Crusader and destroyed it. Same with S:C - Extreme. That was just awful. A graphical update into the Stronghold 2 engine would have made it superb, but it really is heinous.
stronghold crusader was really good, but the AI lacked. in stronghold crusader extreme they fixed the AI and i promise you you will not be happy when the enemy razes your castle 5 minutes into the game lol.
