Well, my computer suddenly has an audio problem. Like, everything is EXTREMELY low and i have to blast my speakers to hear even a little bit. I made sure all the sliders and everything in the control panel + my sigmatel thing are on highest. The thing is, it was working fine yesterday. I moved it around, brought it to another house, and then when i brought it back to my house to set it up, the sound was extremely low.

Does anyone know if this is a hardware problem? i've tried it with my monitor's speakers and my headphone. The volume is still extremely low.

You must determine if this is a software of a hardware problem. If you own a desktop then I suggest that you borrow a sound card from a friend of yours and test if the sound is ok. If it still sounds low then you probably have a software problem (a format would solve your problem - or reinstalling the sound card drivers) . If it sounds fine, then you probably have a problem either in your sound card jack, or with the card itself. If it is on-board then you must send for repair/warranty your motherboard or buy and install a new one. If you have a laptop, then there are not much to do - only formatting your PC or uninstalling and installing new drivers and pray it works. Otherwise, you must send it for repair and it will cost you... (unless you are covered from your warranty)
