i'm surprised hyper 212 isn't on your list of coolers, same for the xigmatek s1283 one. Both are cheap and works really well. on the other hand, V8 is just pure sexy.

with the current clock in my sig, the idle temperature is 30-31 all around, after running 5 rounds of intel burn test, the temperature is near threshold. (71 degrees celsius) then again, under typical load, it doesn't go over mid 40s. I believe my room ambient temperature is around 21-24 degrees so you tell me how good you think it is.

Top 5 (Top 10 actually) Heatsinks

It even tells you specifically for AMD or Intel.

Thats pretty nice, I got the same CPU and my room temp. is also around that only, so I believe I can easily make it overclock well(I was hoping for 3.2 GHz lol). Thanks.

You seem to have your mind set on the V8 and it's a good cooler. It's on that Top 10 list, reviews on it are fine. Also being i7 ready, then I guess you're good to go.

all the ones you mentioned are great, especially the V8, though I hear the V10 is now available for $150. I personally perfer the Thermalright 120, which has been shown to be among the top performers with up to 8 coils. Zalman's Blue Orb one is cool as well. [QUOTE="paraskhos_basic"]
