Like the title says, I'm looking for these kind of action games. But what do I mean by "getting creative"? Well, nothing more than finding newer, more and more sophisticated ways to get rid of your enemies. The only game of this I've already played was Bulletstorm, but to me it was just annoying as hell - the game wasn't giving you enough time to focus on finding new killing methods and constantly kept you busy by hundreds of enemies charging at you at the same time. The game I fell in love with was MadWorld. This game is a perfect example of what I want - fast paced action, a lot, and I mean A LOT of creative ways to kill your opponnents, starting with a chainsaw and ending with bonding with a car tire, shoving a stop sign into guy's head and then throwing him into a giant fan, and a balanced gameplay where you can focus on each bad guy separately despite the game's tempo. The bad thing is, it's for Wii only, so I won't get to play it. Are there any other games in this tone available for PC or PS2? I really want to play something like this but my search attempts turned out to be a massive failure. I'll be glad for any help provided. Thanks in advance.

My computer specs:

Athlon64 X2 5000+
3Gigs of Ram
GeForce 8600GT 256MB
Win Vista 32bit

Modern Warfare 3.

You can use your assault rifle, OR you could just use a different assault rifle, OR use a grenade or a pistol.

Seriously, lots of options, even the Hitman games would be jealous.

You kidding, right? Well, of course you are cause MW3 is nothing creative even in a way of gameplay in general. Now let's stop trolling and be serious and mature people. Trolling will get you nothing but a shame on yourself for not getting to do anything better with your life than trying to annoy people with bad jokes.

Yea, I've played it. I must say it kinda fits the description as you can find many ways to kill your enemy apart from slicing them with a sword. The thing is I've already completed it and wish to try something new.

Well, the only game I've played from the ones you mentioned was Bioshock and either I was playing it wrong or there weren't really many ways to kill, just plain shooting and some basic environmental kills like setting flammable substances on fire or shooting and electric wave into water. It's late so I'm gonna look at the other two games tomorrow. But in general I'm looking for a game which lets you kill in most hilarious and bizarre ways like it was in Bulletstorm (impaling on giant cacti, throwing into giant fans, feeding enemies to carnivore plants etc.).

Deus Ex and Deus Ex: Human Revolution give you a lot of different options when playing. Dishonored also seems like it will fit this description (not to mention that it's being made by the same guys who made Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, Arkane)

Deus Ex doesn't really fit the bill. It gives you a lot of options but they're not really creative, just common ways I've seen hundreds of times in other games. As for Dishonored this is one of the games I can't wait to come out. However it's not out yet so let's just not mention it unless it will be available in a playable form.

Maybe not a full on action title, but i thought Dead Rising 2 and it's expansion had some very creative and humourous ways of dealing with the enemies in game.

Oh yea, I've seen some gameplays from DR2 when I was looking for a humorous game a few weeks ago. Didn't get it till now, though. I'll consider buying it as it looks great and the killing ways are absurd and really funny. Any other ideas?

EDIT: Skyrim... well, I've played it and it was awful, simplified, dumbed down, full of bugs and didn't have really many ways to make enemies disappear, just everything I've seen in other RPGs. As for Saints Row 3, not a chance. I heard its optimization is even worse than in previous game.

Yah, was just throwing out the Deus Ex games since most of the best examples have already been said. I'm really excited for Dishonored too, it's looking great. Like the person above me said, Dead Rising 1/2 give you a lot of funny and interesting ways to kill zombies.

Ok, so I think I'll be getting Dead Rising 2 as it seems to be fitting my description the most. However feel free to post other ideas as I might change my mind if yours will turn out to be better.

Far Cry 2. If you have imagination, you can get extremely creative thanks to its huge arsenal, vehicles and interactive environment. While the mission design is repetitive, the actual gameplay is not unless you make it so yourself. The mission is the end point, it's the journey that matters.

But the harder you push, the harder it pushes back.

You heard wrong then. Very wrong. Saints Row 3 has great optimization. SR2's optimization was god awful.

I'd say Crysis. There are various tactics and methods to killing your enemies in that game.

I highly recommend the first Crysis. I probably spent more then 50+ hours replaying a level because it is very fun to mess with the AI in that game and approach the objectives from different path.

I think Time Crisis is also a great pick. I can choose between shooting them with my pistol in the head, or shooting them in the chest, or how many times I shoot them, or in what order. Its VERY daunting, I can't handle that many creative decisions in one game!

I'm surprised no one mentioned bulletstorm. It has the most creative ways to kill people I've seen recently. Apart from the weak story its the only real driving force behind the game. Racking up points by getting crazy kills.
