If I could buy from Newegg, I'd easily swoop in on that deal....and I tend to prefer ATI cards!

Sigh... and here I thought you were talking about an ATI Radeon 9600... and I told myself, god, that deal sucks for such an old card. Then I click the link. Excellent deal on the Nvidia 9600.

They've had this deal for a week or two. If you want to get the jump on these deals, head over to the [H]ot Deals forum at Hardforum.com. Newegg and Tiger Direct post some exclusive deals as stickies.

Yea I saw that deal a while back and thought yes it is a great deal but I'm waiting until my birth day comes along to make up my mind. You know what the deal may or may not be there but it doesn't bother me. I'm looking at that card as well as the 8800gt and I'll decide when time comes wich card to buy.

rebates are so sketchy. Andrew0987

I do a lot of rebates. And in the past few years, I have only had a problem with one. It was through Myrebates411 for a Sapphire GPU. I still have not gotten the rebate, but Newegg credited the amount to my credit card so thats all good.

As long as you follow all the directions, rebates are pretty easy and reliable, as long as they are not from "Myrebates411"

I will never buy from any company that uses myrebates411 again, the company's I know that use them are Sapphire and Foxconn. That place is a SCAM! There are probably more, but in the past few years, this is the only one I have come across.
