I am looking for surround sound for my 26" sony bravia. it is for a fairly small room, so not sure if i need 7.1, although it would be cool :D.

first off how much roughly for a good set?

and can i use pc speakers on a tv?

AND how do you hook up a surround sound system?

7.1 is a waste as most games and shows do not support it, try a sony 500 series for the sound the higher end once are rather nice at about 500, lower end starts at 400

Both of these items are currently on sale at Amazon, so if you got the money I would get these otherwise these 2 items would normally cost you $800-900 bucks. Both of these are exceptional items. You will be looking at about $520.00

I saw some nice 5.1 Sony sound systems a while back for less than $300.00 in retail stores (they even used HDMI inputs and outputs). This would be something to look for if your TV supports HDMI or even DVI.
