EYE is not worth it in the state its in. It has ALOT of bug fixes, game play mechanics etc that the developer will need to fix. Don't worry about that game for a couple months. If you want swat 4, go ahead and get it bro. jedikevin2Erm..i said i already bought it. And i love it. So ....yeah....whatever...
its worth it, but last time I checked the multiplayer had a low population. Pherhaps 200-300 people or so? Unless its picked up since I played it. I bought this game on day one when it released and it was super fun. It is one of a kind, as I have not found anything like it. With the ability to arest instid of kill it gives you a tactical exsperiance you will not find any where else.
im really glad i dint learn about D2D until now dammit my wallets still hurting since the steam summer sale and i just bout a few games from GOG
DAMMIT WHY DO PC GAME HAVE TO HAVE SUCH AWESOME SALES!!!???
I enjoyed SWAT 3 more, but I must say VIP mode is by far my favorite multiplayer FPS mode in any FPS game ever. Sadly, I'm in the minority because everyone wants to play TDM (lolwut?)
SWAT 4 was not that tactical, but I'd argue that the tactical action genre truly died after that game. It was the last of its kind, and a great game to boot

Really? I'm not sure how you could say that, because for me it was about as tactical as you could get. One wrong move and you're either dead or the mission is blown. Playing it alongside a friend of mine with VoIP was some of the best co-op fun I've ever had. We tried to be as serious as possible and go about the mission as carefully as we could, taking it one room at a time. There's nothing more intense than looking under a door with the optiwand, spotting several armed suspects, then preparing to blast open the door and not knowing whether you'll even live through the encounter or be able to make the suspects comply without opening fire yourself. Man, what an amazing game.

He may be comparing it to the original Rainbow Six where you took the time to lay out your plan. Other than that, I have to say that SWAT 4 is about as tactical as you can get in this current generation.
SWAT 4 is one hard game. Randomly positioned enemies mean for the single player game every time you play any level it will be different. You will have to approach each situation with extreme concentration. Sometimes the ally AI can be a bit dub - stacking and moving into a room for all three partners to be gunned down buy one person even though they have been fb'ed xD.
I though the campaign would be longer. Especially as the early levels extremely short with only a few enemies going onto multi-level environments with more hostages and better armoured enemies.

that is pretty much waht I meant; it was about as tactical as it could get while still remaining approachable. Honestly, it was the last of its breed and one of the best imo for that very reason.
I didnt phrase myself well initially, I did not mean "not that tactical" as a criticism.
