From what i think, it is a compatibility issue. When i trouble shoot compatibility i end up getting windows xp service pack 2 to use to try and run it, and it tells me to test the program. When i do, the game just give me an error message saying an .ini file is missing....What happened?

I run SWAT 4 in Windows 7 64 bit without any problems, no compatibility mode needed. So your problem sounds strange to me, try re-installing the game and simply running it normally.

Is the game a legit copy? When I had a hard copy of the game it used to get stuck on load and the cd tray wouldn't open. If you have problems then try and get the latest patch, if you still struggle you should get a fixed exe

I got it via Direct 2 Drive because it was on sale. I really dont know what happened because now it keeps crashing because of some display problem. Ill copy what is written in the error message...

Agreed with this! If you want to run resolutions like 1920x1080 then you should edit, but that shouldn't cause errors. Its ashame they cut the series :(

I am running windows 7 64-bit widescreen (27"/1920x1208). I am currently running it and no stretches. It works fine. You might have downloaded it from D2D (Direct 2 Drive) which I didn't use. I used the installation disk that comes with the gold edition (Bought it more than 5 years ago and kept onto it). So, I don't know what you prob is. I hope you have found out. :D
