I used to play star wars battlefront 2 on a 64mb geforce 6100 graphics card, all settings on low of course and it played just fine.

What are the odds I can play it on one of the new netbooks on their media accel. 950 vid cards? I hear it can run some half decent games on low, nothing major though. It should be able to play with no lag on the atom processor, its a crazy old game 2004 i think. How can I find out for sure if it will play well?

Yeah, the Intel GMA 950 is even weaker than your old Nvidia 6100. It may be doable, but its gonna pale in comparison to your old notebook. Hold out for an Nvidia based netbook if you can.

Meh, i had the 6100 in a desktop lol! used it for like 3 years.

I am not sure what to do anymore, I blew all my money on a 60 inch LED and a blueray player.

The only real thing you can do if you really, really want to play it on a netbook is to wait for an ION or ION 2 (nVidia) based Netbook. They *should* be coming out late this year. But theres nothing definitive.

Never know until you try. I ran Morrowind at full settings on an Acer laptop with a single core Celeron 1.5ghz, GMA 910. Battlefront II isn't that graphically intense. If you already own the game, go for it.

is they are still the same price, I'll be happy. If they come out with a 10.1' with something equal or slightly better than a dedicated 64mb, I'll be pretty happy. I really didn't want to pay 600 bucks for the netbook with a dedicated 256mb card inside that has a flip switch for active mode and non active. >.>
