Isnt this game kinda dead? biggest faction imbalance ever.... and whenever I go on the forums its like going back intime to the first month where everyone is ecomplaining about people leaving.PC360Wii

Aw, never mind. I think people who ask these questions know very well that the game is doing well. They're just afraid it might obfuscate the competition from games they'd probably like better.

Thats the power of the star wars brand then, because the game lacks any kind of long lasting quality for an MMO. maybe 1.2 will fix that, but down to its core, its certainly nothing special.PC360Wii

TERA will not do anything to SWTOR...after playing the beta I'm pretty sure of this. D3 and Torchlight aren't really MMOS, though I do think D3 might pull people away for a bit...not torchlight though. MOP....probably pull a good number of players back for a while but I think people like that this is an MMO in the Star Wars universe so to some degree players will stick around for that reason alone.

Anyway, you can hate like a Sith until you're blue in the face but TOR is holding a good number of players at the moment and will pull some back with this patch. They are working on new content nonstop and the game is far from dead...so many drama queens around this place.

Guild Wars 2 has the most hype to pull people from others MMOs currently. Whether or not it actually happens we will have to wait and see. SWTOR is certainly nothing special if you consider the hype leading up to it and how many subs have come and gone. Yea they still have 1.7 mill, if that is even true. But how many others subbed and quit?

Okay, I'm done preaching for now.

I won't resub until they offer some server transfers, mine is a complete ghost town, I stopped after release month. Went from waiting in queues to having 10 people on the fleet at happy hour

I really hope GW2 lives up to the hype

No way it can, too many posters on here have already hyped it up to a lvl that if it was even %70 as good as the hype would have you believe, it would be among the best (if not the best) videogames ever made.

Also on topic, I am enjoying SWTOR, have since launch. I will continue to as long as they seek to constantly improve and expand SWTOR. (like with this patch for instance) Looking forward to it.

Been binging swtor for 2 months and still absolutely love it, and i can't even stand wow by the way. Can't wait for this patch! It sucks that people complain alot on forums while the happy majority plays the game not complaining :szafto

I have to agree with you on the GS forums messing up, and it seems to have gotten progressively worse lately, hasn't it?

Ah, got ya. I am sure it will be a decent game, I have hopes that GW2 is a great game, so it will give me something to try in the future. But it is an extremely hyped up game.
