i doubt it ... try searching for a torrent of SS2 if u really need to play it badammusk
That goes against the forum rules
To the OP,I heard some time ago about this guy that was able to get a copy on Amazon.com. Try searching there or on eBay
i am pretty sure you will not find a brand new boxed copy anywhere - the best you can hope for is to find it on ebay or some site-based marketplace like amazon, and hope the seller isn't charging a hundred billion dollars for it
given that it's not in print any more, and that it's (imo) the best game ever made, i think you should seek out a used copy (no keys, so who cares?) or just grab the torrent (details above)
it's illegal, sure, but is it amoral?
Do EA still own the rights to the game?dbowman
yeah they do - and after bioshock's crazy good success and the revived interest in system shock 2, ea realised it might be a good idea to revive the series
there is a rumour (that may or may not have been verified, but certainly hasn't been officially announced) that system shock 3 is in production at ea, and that the team behind the godfather is working on it

I threw up when I read the last line..
You can download it for free at places such as home of the underdogs.. Its more or less abandonware.. I my self absolutely REFUSE to havingto pay money for a game that a company no longer supports nor sells thats this old.. In the end these games alot of them are selling for obscene prices on Ebay.. sSubZerOo
Also agreed.
I've heard that downloading it from Home of the Underdogs isn't legal. So if the Thread Kreator has a choice between that and a torrent, Herrick will recommend the torrent.
there is a rumour (that may or may not have been verified, but certainly hasn't been officially announced) that system shock 3 is in production at ea, and that the team behind the godfather is working on itmfsano.. there's a game called dead space, but a) they've been working on it for over a year b) it's more resident evil/gears of war TPS style. though it does appear somewhat inspired by system shock, they're staying far away from directly drawing comparisons to the SS series. and yeah, EA still owns the rights to system shock, and no, the game's been out of print for literally five years, and no, they made a point of specifically noting the game's not abandonware. officially, it's as illegal to download SS2 as it is to download Bioshock. the difference is, there is nowhere to buy SS2 except ebay if you're interested in playing the game legit. :P
I still see them in KMarts and Targets now and again (in Australia). I could probably go out and buy one today, if I didn't already have it.
...and it was only between $9-19 (Aus).
i want to buy this game since almost every1 seems to love it.i dun like 2nd hand used games.are fresh copies syill manufactured like deus ex and starcraft(batlechest). any help would be really help ful.p.s i dont usually like ebay thus im talking with respect to availability in stores etc.gamer_almighty
Good luck on your search. It's not a problem finding copies of the game out there; the problem lies in the fact that if you want a brand new copy you're going to be dishing out anywhere from $100-200. It is a very rare find to get your hands on an un-opened copy.
You can find copies of the game that only includes the CD and jewel case that it comes in anywhere from $25 or so to $50+.
It just all depends on what you're willing to pay to get your hands on a copy. I know for a fact that I wasn't willing to pay that much money for just a CD in a jewel case or the even more absurd amount of money people wanted for new copies or just copies that came with everything (box, instructions, etc...).
I gave up my hope in trying to track down a fair priced copy that I wanted - I searched off and on for nearly a month, and no such luck.
ebay, HOTU , or do a search for games warehouse

Yeah, I purchased a used copy from Ebay. Expect to pay about $50.

Honestly, I think those guys deserve a lot of credit.
Believe it or not, but the Wii version of The Godfather (being an EA made, movie-tie in, GTA-clone Wii port - with absolutely everything going against it) was a suprisingly good game. The developers put some effort in and totally nailed the Wii controls.

I LOLed hard reading what you said. Agreed 100%
I was overjoyed when i found out about this so i took a look at the underdog websiteand there it is to download, and everything was looking fine and dandy and i was expecting it to take a couple of minutes, and i saw my download rate and it was 2 megs (which was normal)so i was like thats weird it should be done by now, but then i checked again and it was 2kb....i spose i cant complain because im getting it for free...but daaaaamn 20 hours to download 150megs, thats f*cked on so many levels.
If only there was a better way ...that a poor man like myself could afford.
