Hopefully it will be in 7-8 months and pc gamers wont have to wait a whole year to play it.

"Mass Effect" = Childish playground for console fanboys with no idea of a "Rpg".
"Baldur's Gate","Planescape Torment","Fallout" = True and pure essence of a "Rpg" made for pc-users.

what was said above = perfect example of ignorance.
A fun game is a fun game. And when a studio like Bioware is behind it, it definately makes me feel more comfortable.
I dont doubt that the gameplay mechanics were dumbed down a bit for console users, but I dont think thats going to make it a bad game. It sure didnt make any of the KOTOR series bad games.

"Mass Effect" = Hot Interspecies Lesbian Alien Action.
"Baldur's Gate","Planescape Torment" = Might as well go read a book
"Fallout" = Teh Awesome

I wouldnt go that far, Its bioware after all. How would you define KOTOR then?
Is it true its part of a trilogy, and that Bioware said they wont port it until the trilogy is finished?
If that is the case, then I would say 2010 at the earliest.
Wow, 2010....thats just over two years away. Seems so futuristic to say it.

I dont think that its likely theyll port it after three years because by that time there wont be many people who care

PC gamers will always care about BioWare games. The engine (is it UE3?) might be a little dated by then (personally, I think it's one of those engines that'll always look great - like the Quake 3 engine), but a great game is still a great game. And most BioWare fans are used to uttetly vile visuals. Stuff like Aurora 2007 and whatever Mass Effect is running in, this stuff is almost an unheard of visual standard for the RPG genre.
If I had to guess at a port date, assuming it is definitely coming, I'd say 9 to 12 months unless they have contractual restrictions.

well if that's the case then the PC RPG situation is sad indeed seeing that the PC hasn't had a true RPG experience since the late 90's
I guess I'll have to settle for childish RPG's.... you can go back and play the same games over and over again.
I would have to say that NWN2 falls into the same category as Baldurs Gate etc.
I'm in no way defending him, however, as it was one of the most idiotic statements on RPG's I've heard so far, since it's obvious he only judges the games based on how they're played instead of the contents.

I think thats the tentative release date for DNF.
Which is also a few days from the end of the Mayan calendar by some people's estimates.
If i had to put money down on guessing when Mass Effect is coming to the PC i'd say mid to late 2008. They'll probably want to milk it on the consoles over the festive period and then hopefully they'll think of adding some extras to the PC version so that'll take some time. Not to mention i imagine they have contract issues etc that they have to sort out so the middle to end of 2008 seems like the time it'll be out on PC, i hope.1005
Hopefully theyll put the downloadable content the 360is getting on the pc for free.
why cant they release at the same time?
i already kno the answer to that neways.. just cribbing here...
