Just wondering peoples opinions on it, i'm looking to take a break from all the rpgs i've been playing and go for something different. I've seen lots of mixed reviews and think the social elements look cool as well as the racing, thanks.

You cant got wrong if you are willing to just delve into one of videogames' great open worlds, you can almost smell the seas which is quite an accomplishment. Plus the game rewards exploration and open world sandbox driving to some extend which is nice. I found the VA on the so-bad-its good tip, it's stupendously cheesy. The race modes are rather underwhelming though and the handling needs abit of tuning for each class for it to feel tolerable. Im not sure how the social elements have shaped up, as alot of it was down when I was playing it, but the community clubs sounded alright. I found the game addictive, it's ambitious but it's quite flawed.

The original TDU is better IMO. Honolulu is more fun to driver and explore. I wouldn't buy it because the DRM. It will drive you nuts! Why support it?

Personally I found the driving far too trial and error. I could never get the feeling right when driving. I gave up on it a while back.

Get it, it's a great game, way better than the first and you have a lot to explore, even if you don't like to do the events or race other players, you can just explore (of course you need to participate in events to gain money for better cars), you won't manage to explore it 100% even after 70 hours.

First one is too much copy paste, makes exploration a chore, 2nd one is a pleasure and it's an open world game...not like Dirt 3, NFS Shift 2, GT5, etc.

The game is decent but it really doesn't run well. Especially compared to the first one which ran very good on pretty slow PCs as long as HDR was turned off.

I get a lot of slowdowns on my pc despite not playing it maxed out and only playing at 1680x1050.

Agree with others the first one was better. TDU2 has added crap social and Sims type junk and didn't improve at all handling or physics. TDU2 graphics are nicer but it also runs rather poorly for those visuals. Car selection is also less in TDU2.

This game is awesome, especially if you have a driving wheel. I have the Logitec G27 with clutch pedal and I love being able to just drive at a leasurely pace and explore the cities. They have support for the G25 and the G27 with the Clutch. And I have found that if the set the settings to SPORT, Deappan all the way left and Sensativity all the way right, it's drives almost perfectly with great response and now I can't stop playing. The feel of driving the Manual Transmission is awesome. The graphins are no GT5, but then what is? GT5 is in a class by it'sself as far as graphics. I can live with the TDU2 graphics, because the game is so cool. My only gripe... It's hard to make money, especially when a car wash (by hot babes) is $1500.00...LOL

This may depend on if you are playing on PC or PS3. PS3 version seems great to me.
