Team Fortress 2 $20 on Steam This Weekend

For those of you who have yet to try the game, this would be a good opportunity to purchase it. Hopefully, this offer, along with the new maps and additions to the medic class, should allow the Team Fortress 2 community to continue to grow.

EDIT: For those of you who haven't heard yet, Valve will be adding a new map as well as new weapons for the Medic soon. They are also planning to add 35 new achievements per class and 3 new weapons per class. This should help add more depth to the game. Here are some links:

I really think they should drop the price of all the Orange Box individual games by $5... they are kind expensive at $20-30 each. Especially when considering you can get the OB for $50.foxhound_fox

The value you get from each game is incredible, and for them to release each one for 5 bucks would be rediculous.

I think he meant they need to lower the individual pricing of each game by $5. The pricing would be as follows:

$25 for HL2: Episode 2

$25 for TF2

$15 for Portal

well, he did write 'drop the price...by $5,' not drop it to $5. but i agree; each one is worth $20-30; it's just that the orange box is such an unbelievably great deal, why would you buy them individually?

Almost downloaded, looks very fun. Hope it's not too hard to get into. I tried to find manual,

TF2 is a pretty easy game to "get into". All of the cla.sses play very nicely and are (in my opinion) very balanced. There are some good beginners' guides on Gamefaqs, but probably the best way to learn the game is just by playing. Learning the strengths and weaknesses of each of the cla.sses is one of the best parts of the game. Have fun!

Oh, and I'll throw in the new "Meet the Scout" video. Should give you a sense of TF2's humor.

Team Fortress 2 is definitely worth $30 you pay. As you could see on my xfire sig, I have played 141 hours. That is well worth the cost of $30.

Team Fortress 2 is mankind's greatest achievement.

I can't wait for the new goodies.The new achievements seem a little hard to get, though. I don't like the idea of feeling pressured into working towards my goals, like grinding in an RPG.

I appreciate Valve's stance on it, though. The harder the are, the more you play. I think they pushed it a little too hard, though. Ten million health to heal?

I think I'll just buy orange box instead. It sounds cheaper. I had Orange box on 360. But I hated most of it cause I had played half life 2 on pc before so unlike most of the time when I play a fps on console this time I could tell the difference between using a controller and using a mouse. I was like an expert shot on pc but on 360 I could shot them in the head it would hit them in the shin instead. It was very frustrating.

I've been meaning to buy it on pc, but I have this thing about buying games I already own. I already have half life 2, I guess I'll just suck it up and go buy it anyways.
