Terminator Salvation Problem

The game installed fine.No errors occured .The game runs fine and the main screen appears.After the first cutscene.The screen remains blank.The sound continues but nothing happens.Only the instructions appear like movement and taking cover but nothing else happens and screen remains black.

My System:

1 Gb Ram , Nvidia Geforce 7300 Gt 512 mb , Windows XP SP2 that is all i know.

Please i need to play this game because from the cutscene it appears that it is a really really really good game
