Yeah new medic achievements and weapons, plus new game mode and map.

I think it will take a while before you see them with the kind of crazy achievment you need to unblock them. Example:

Use your bonesaw to kill 5 ennemy spies with have been calling for a medic. Ubercharge 10 of your steam friend. I am a bit dissapointed, I don't want to grind for the next 3 months to get the 3 weapons, especially since I rarely play the medicFranko_3

if u dont want to grind them out then just join a clan and get together in a server and play as medics untill u all get the achievements :D

Well relax then and wait for the unlocks for your favoured class to come out, it shouldn't be too long, as they are definitely being developed at the moment (Valve time though). My biggest concern is that some players who don't play medic often and are subsequently crap at it will be stacking a team trying to get achievements/unlocks that they will forget about as soon as other unlocks come out. Should be a whole lot of QQ :D

I think it's SUPER LAME idea from Valve. I know for a fact that I won't get ANY of those unlocked and I do play medic as my main class. I don't mind, I am just saying I won't grind for it and hope that new weapons wont' mess up the balance of game.

What is Valve thinking? Now all clans/peope with private servers will just "cheat" their way into unlocking new weapons. Why introduce such hardcore requirements to unlock new weapons? Sounds like WoW TierX set to me.Creative

A lot of the circumstantial achievements you won't get by trying, they are likely to happen in the course of playing a round as medic sooner or later anyway. If you play primarily as a medic it wouldn't be long before you have at least 2 of the 3 unlocks IMO

ho please the majority of them would make blush even the best medic on earth. -Assist in killing 3 ennemies with a single uber on a scout. Assist a heavy to punch 2 target with a single ubercharge. Jesus Valve wth were you thinking?????. Hopefully the best medic on earth probably have the best clan on earth and will probably have them tonight and laugh at us all the newb who don't play that game 30 hours a week.

This achievment system is an horrible, horrible idea. Maybe it's good for the box player, but keep them away from my game (or don't make them mandatory to fully enjoy the game)

hehe me and my clan have a private server and we just grinded for about an hour or two and so far I only have the blutsauger. But tommorrow I should have the Kritzkrieg.Dopemonk736

They should've waited and released all the updates at the same time, that way half of every game isn't a medic..

I'm almost 100% positive valve stated they were looking into easier ways to unlock the new weapons for those who don't play as much.

And no you won't have to unlock the medic guns before you can unlock the other class', just have to wait for further updates

Yeah I found some of them to be rather crazy!!

For example kill 5 spies with a bonesaw as they are yelling medic! :|

Or heal 7000 health in one life. The closest I've ever gotten to that was 4910, and I've healed according to my steam 1.3 million health. Seriously, I tried out Gold Rush and I got around 6 of the achievements, I'll probably take a crack at it again tomorrow.

The only positive about this is that if you don't play as a medic, woah here come the ubers!

I had this this morning, Ctrl alt del go to processes and end steam then try loading up TF2 again, thats what fixed it for me

Ive already broken... was it five of the achievements. The easiest ones of course.

Theres also a cheat that allows you to get them all instantly, but that would lame, not to mention very low. Why did they make it?

Meh, I don't really see how that's so "low." I can bet you anything, most people are going to get frustrated and just join an empty server with some friends and just set things up to get all the achievements. The cheat is just a much easier way of doing that. I'll be honest, I even did that with some of the original TF2 achievements (specifically, Sentry Gunner and Impossible Defense). I still haven't gotten the With Friends Like These achievement. I have over 130 Steam friends, and yet it's sooo hard to get at least 7 to play at the same time, on the same server. Plus half of those friends only play CS:S :P

It's a good update, but I think it would have been smarter on Valve's part to release unlockables for every class not just the medic. I think the goldrush map is pretty cool though, very fast and intense.THGarrett

One step at a time cowboy...it takes a lot of testing before they can make a change like this and if they had newweaponsfor all the characters we would be waiting about a year or something for this update. I think valve have the right idea!

I am teh Sniper... This map is awesome for me!

All i'm waiting is the soldier (my main class) and sniper :). If the doctors achievements are soo crazy(some of them) i imagine some of the soldiers, kill a heavy, sentry, engineer, doctor, scout, demoman with one rocket(all of them not each one :)), kill a heavy with the spade, head shot a sniper with a rocket:D those seem crazy enough and the sniper should have something like 7 consecutive head shots with one bullet, 25 head shots on a disguised or invisible spy, head shot a sentry :). Heh, well they didn't ban them. They took a different route (which, in my opinion is a better route considering it's Valve's own fault that the "cheat" was still in the game) which is they completely wiped clean the "cheaters'" achievement records! :lol: Justice is served...

I only played for about an hour after DLing the patch but i picked up 8 of the Achievements including the Uber somone 1 second before the get hit with a crit explosive and i killed about 10 enemy medics in that time too :).

I got 25 achievements in 3 hours through regular playing.

However, it looks like the rest of the achievements will take me a lot longer.

I actually found that one pretty easy, all you have to do is not charge out into the middle of battle.

Some of the achievements are quite easy or satisfyingly challeging, while the "First Do no Harm" is IMO virtually impossible.Kolossi
